1 IHI-SHIBAURA MACHINERY CORPORATION MODEL SG80 SLOPE MOWER ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS GENERAL INFORMATION APPROXIMATE ASSEMBLY TIME -HOUR PLEASE READ THE COMPLETE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE STARTING ASSEMBLY! CAUTION Appropriate methods and procedures are essential for safe, reliable operation of all equipment as well as the personal safety of all individuals doing the work. The assembly manual provides general directions for accomplishing assembly with tested, effective techniques. To assure reliability, follow procedure instructions given in this manual. Failure to comply may result in minor or moderate injury. There are numerous variations in procedures and techniques for assembling equipment, tools, as well as in the skill of the individual doing the work. This manual cannot possibly anticipate all such variations and provide advice or cautions as to each. General safety precautions should include: Major components are well supported during assembly. Wearing safety glasses during assembly. Using the proper tools, such as a hang chains or lifting straps to Lift up the Slope mower. Equipment is lowered to the ground or properly supported during lubrication and filling fluids levels. NOTE : Packing parts locations maybe modified without notice. A /0

2 PREPARATION The SG80 Slope mower is shipped partially disassembled in a crate. This manual provides the information needed to uncrate and assemble. NOTE:Weight of the crate is about 90 kilograms. NOTE: The fork is to be able to use only one side of the crate. turning blade LINE NOTE:In figure shows the limit of the length of the fork. 7cm LIMITS THE REACH POSITION OF THE FORK. Remove the top of the crate.. Cut the packing wires,,of the ROPS Frame and wheel assemblies put the ROPS Frame,,on the safety place.. Remove the side of the crate,.. Remove the plastic wrap and cut all the packing bands and crate wires to loose parts from the Slope mower and crate base.. Remove the following parts from the shipping crate.. ROPS Frame support lower. ROPS Frame support upper 7. ROPS Frame. Wheel assemblies(tires). Hardware Box 8 8 7

3 . Attach chains or lifting straps to the front and rear frame. NOTE:The weight of The SG80 Slope mower is about 800 kilograms. 7. Lift up the Slope mower from the crate base and remove the crate base from under the Slope mower. 8. 6 How to release the Latch to open the hood. Unlock the rubber hood latch, in two places on both sides of the hood.. Insert the thin stick such as screwdriver, in the hole,, that located under the front of left side of the hood and push the latch to release the rod into the hole and lift the hood to its fully raised position.. To close, put the hood to the low position until the latch mechanism hold the hood to it position. BATTERY CABLE Installation Connect the negative (-) battery cable,, to the negative (-) battery terminal.

7 WHEELS Installation NOTE: Use the hardware from the Wheel Bolt Kit (000).. Check the air pressure of the tires as stated in the Slope mower operator s manual. NOTE: Front and Rear Tire size.00-0 Air pressure of the tires 8 kpa (0.7 kgf/cm ). Install the wheel assembly to the proper position of the Slope mower with the lock washer, bolts and nuts NOTE: Front and Rear Wheel Bolt and nut Torque 8.±9N.m ( 80±90 kgf cm ) Five M 0 BOLT Five M LOCK WASHER Five M NUT Five M LOCK WASHER NOTE: Remove jack stands after the wheels are installed. 7

8 ROPS Installation. Remove the four M8 x bolts,,and four flat washers,,and four rubbers,.. Temporarily remove the plastic cover,, from the rear of the Slope mower. NOTE: Use the hardware from the ROPS Bolt Kit (000).. Connect the ROPS frame,,and the ROPS support lower bar,,to the rear frame of the Slope mower. Secure using the eight Mx bolts,,and four collars,,and eight M lock washers,, and four M nuts,. NOTE: The collar,, must be install between the ROPS frame,,and the rear frame of the Slope mower. NOTE: Do not tighten hardware at this time. 8

9 . Install the plastic cover,,on the rear of the Slope mower. Secure using the four M8 x bolts,,and four flat washers,,and four rubbers,. Tightening torques Hardware Size Proper Tightening Torque M8 x bolts,, -8N m(0~90 kgf cm). Install the ROPS support upper bar,, on the ROPS frame,,of the Slope mower. Secure using the four M0 x bolts,. IMPORTANT : Tighten all ROPS mounting hardware, to the proper torque at this time! 10 Before operation Before operating the Slope mower, check the following fluid levels, and add per specifications listed in the Slope mower operator s manual as needed. Engine oil. Engine coolant. HST oil. Fuel. Safety Start System All the following procedures must be performed so the Slope mower will start: Operator in the seat.(the Slope mower would be able to start without operator in the seat however, having an operator in the seat is the recommended starting procedure.) Set the Parking brake. PTO controls in the OFF position. The Running pedal is not depressed. If any of the above are not performed the Slope mower will not start. Check the following items: Inspect all operating and safety decals for proper installation or damage. Brake and Running pedals for proper operation and adjustment. 0
