Because they release no liquid during the DOT specified pressure surge, the pressure relief valves exceed the requirements of 49 CFR (b)(3)(ii) which requires that pressure relief devices withstand a specified pressure surge with no more than one liter leakage. Model 8292ALTS mounts in a special 20 offset PAF manhole and model 8290ALTS mounts on either model 6516 weld pad or a standard TTMA 4 weld flange.
