2 12 MONTH LIMITED WARRANTY TRAILCOM LIMITED WARRANTS that they will replace or repair without charge, any TROJAN brand trailer component, manufactured by themselves, which proves to be defective in material or workmanship within a period of twelve months from date of purchase. This Warranty covers normal use and does not cover damage which results from alteration, misuse, accident, neglect or improper installation, operation or maintenance. TRAILCOM LIMITED s obligation under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective component. In no event shall TRAILCOM LIMITED be liable for any consequential, indirect or incidental damage of any kind incurred by reason of the manufacture, sale, or use of any defective component. Nor will they be responsible for any charges for repairs carried out to be defective components by people other than themselves unless prior authorization has been granted in writing. Products sold by TRAILCOM LIMITED under the TROJAN brand name but that are not manufactured themselves are covered by the warranty given by the manufacturer of such products.

3 AUSTRALIAN DESIGN RULES Trailers that are used on the roads in Australia must comply with the applicable Australian Design Rules (ADR). Some of the more common rules are as follows: NB: This information should be used as a guide only as rules in each state may differ. For more detailed information, contact the relevant Government websites listed below: QLD WA NSW SA VIC BRAKING: Trailers up to 750kg gross mass do not require brakes. Trailers 750 to 2000kg gross mass require brakes on at least one axle. Can be operated by override system. Trailers 2000kg to 4500kg gross mass require brakes on all wheels. Operation to be driver controlled and to include a breakaway system which will automatically apply the trailer brakes should it become detached from the tow vehicle. SUSPENSION: Trailers may have axles grouped and can be non load sharing if, when in tandem, the axles are no more than 2 metres apart or if three axles are fitted, these are no further than 3.2 metres apart overall and that each axle and its wheels and tyres are rated at 120% of the aggregate trailer mass (ATM).

9 6 10" ELECTRIC DRUM BRAKED HUB KITS & COMPONENTS Trojan Electric Drum Brakes are suitable for a wide range of trailer applications but are not recommended for use on boat trailers. These brakes are operated by a supply of electric current from the tow vehicle via a controller mounted in the cab of the tow vehicle or on the trailer. This current energises magnets which are attached to the brake shoes and which grip a machined surface on the inside face of the drum. As the wheel rotates, the magnets pull the shoes to the drum. The more current that is supplied, the harder the brakes are applied. braking effort can be adjusted by the controller. Brake size is 10" x 2" and they are rated at 1500kg per pair. 12 9 DISC BRAKE HUB KITS Trojan Disc Brakes have been designed especially for use on trailers of all types and a wide range is available to suit every application. These brakes feature a 'bolt on Disc Rotor'. The Rotors are available in CAST IRON which are suitable for all applications or in ALLOY BRONZE which are especially suitable for fitment to boat trailers as they do not rust or corrode. It is recommended that Trojan Stainless Steel Brake Calipers and Stainless Braided Hoses are fitted in conjunction with 'Alloy Bronze Rotors' as this gives the ultimate protection against corrosion. 16 13 DURATORQUE - QUALITY RUBBER SUSPENSION SYSTEM O-PIECE GULL WING STRAIGHT BEAM Duratorque is a superior suspension system that is suitable for fitment to all types of trailers. Using specially formulated synthetic rubber cords as a spring medium, Duratorques are totally self contained and are easily fitted to the trailer chassis. All Duratorque components are either galvanised or electroplated for protection against corrosion. Available as Two Piece units, which will fit any chassis width and which are carried in stock, or as one-piece Full Beams which are manufactured to the customers' specifications. Full Beams are also available as Gull Wings for boat trailers allowing the boat to sit lower on the trailer. 17 14 DURATORQUE - QUALITY RUBBER SUSPENSION SYSTEM GENERAL INFORMATION: Carrying Capacity: All Duratorques are fitted with a label showing the capacity, ie. 1000kg. This refers to the maximum all up weight that can be carried on TWO wheels. When mounted in "Tandem", the capacity is to be de-rated by 25%. ie. Two 1500kg suspensions will carry 2250kg in tandem. Leading or Trailing: It is recommended that all Duratorques are mounted with the arms trailing. Brakes: When mounted in Tandem with brakes on one axle only, this must be the front axle. Tyre Spacing in Tandem: It is recommended that the distance between the tyres be kept to a minimum and should not exceed 150mm. Mudguard Position: When fitting Duratorques in the unloaded position, the distance from the top of the tyre to the mudguard should be a minimum of 150mm DIMENSIONS & SPECIFICATIONS: When ordering Full Beam or Gull Wing axles, you need to advise Hub face to Hub face measurement D, bracket centre measurement E, and for Gull Wings, the required drop measurement F. 20 17 HYDRASTAR & ELECTRASTAR TRAILER BRAKE CONTROLLERS "Hydrastar" Electric Over Hydraulic Brake Controllers Developed for use on all types of trailers fitted with hydraulic brakes, Hydrastar gives smooth controlled braking under all conditions. The actuator, which mounts on the trailer, is activated via a controller which is mounted in the cab of the tow vehicle. Electric current is supplied through the controller to the activator which operates the brakes by way of a hydraulic pump. The controller allows adjustment of the braking effort to suit load and road conditions. Two types of Hydrastars are available and each is complete with a breakaway kit. HYDRAULIC BRAKE CONTROLLER Activated by an electronic controller hard wired into the tow vehicle, this model has a output pressure of 1200psi making it suitable for use with disc brakes. 12 volt HYDRAULIC BRAKE CONTROLLER This model is activated by a hand held remote controller that simply plugs into the tow vehicles cigarette lighter.
