The body is powder-coated steel tube. Using clutch bearings, it is dual feed for reliability. Dual outlet connections are 1/8 tube compression fittings. All parts are CNC machined including the top. This lubricator is made for mounting under the running board as the top is made to slide rather than open vertically, but if it is desired to locate it elsewhere, you may remove the mounting bracket and fasten it as needed to accommodate your preferred mounting. We generally machine out an opening in the running board approximately 1-1/4 square and mount the lubricator under there. In use, to fill, you slide the top back, fill, and then return the top to its closed position. Specifications for these engines appear on their own page. These tenders are all CNC shaped and punched for all rivet holes. Tanks are fabricated from 16 ga. cold rolled steel, and the bottom is punched from 11 ga. Cold rolled steel. All tenders are available ready-to-run upon special order. Completed tenders are delivered coated on the inside and the exterior is primed. Final color coat of automobile acrylic is available on special order. Shown are the custom ash pans for the MOGUL ($250). The ash pan is 16 ga. (or heavier) stainless, TIG welded, with a sliding bottom. This must be installed prior to the boiler as it bolts to the frame rather than the mudring. The actuating lever (not included) is then located on the floor of the cab. The pilot is a fire-tube pilot and really sets the engine off, in addition to being almost indestructible. 8 KEIM Steam Pumps KEIM Steam pumps are among the finest pumps available to the Live steamer. LOCOPARTS is pleased to be the number 1 distributor for this fine unit. These pumps are bar-stock fabrications and are scaled-down versions of Westinghouse prototypes. Shown below are photographs of the 1-1/2 and 1 water pumps, and the 1-1/2 air pump. Also available are 2 1/2 scale water and air pumps, and 1-1/2 duplex water pump. These pumps are all hand-made one-at-a-time, and delivery usually takes 6-8 weeks, so order in advance of when you need it. We occasionally have one in stock so call for current delivery times. The 2-cylinder water pump is designed to be used as a supplemental feed water device for your locomotive boiler. This model can be used to approximate the appearance of an Elesco feed water pump or New York Air compressor. This model features the highest flow output for its body size. There are no unsightly or out of place exterior valve chests. There are no external valve linkages to set the timing on. This is truly a simple to use and maintain water pump. A displacement lubricator is not supplied but is required when plumbing this pump up to a steam line. Operation can be made using compressed air, however, an inline lubrication system is recommended. Allow up to 60 seconds for a cold pump to start. Normal response time for a pump to begin cycling is 5 to 15 seconds. 8

9 Gas Burners Shown is a gas burner for a LE Pacific. All assemblies are similar in construction. The manifolds are TIG welded and pressure tested against gas leaks. The individual burners are rated at approximately 5400 btu each. All gas burners are custom made to suit the application. We generally have in stock burner assemblies for the Allen $425.00, $375.00, LE $750.00, and LE $ Contact us for prices and delivery of burners for other engines. The gas jets are available individually for $14.00 (minimum sold is 4) each plus shipping and are generally in stock. Hook-up Package for Gas Burner Manifolds This package includes all you need to hook up and install your new gas burner manifold: Dual gauge regulator, all fittings, regulation flammable gas valve, and hose. The only fittings that need to be installed (included in hook-up package) are the flared connections at either end of the copper tube used to connect the burner assembly to the gas valve. For this operation you will need a flaring tool. 10 Grates Grates are fabricated from 304 stainless steel bar and TIG welded. Grates for Allen engines are 2 piece, and grates for LE engines are 3 piece. NOTE: these grates will last a long time if properly cared for, ie., if the ash pan is dumped on a regular basis and ashes not allowed to accumulate until they touch the grates. If this condition is allowed to occur, all grates, regardless of material, will rapidly burn out. For this reason, there is no warranty on grates after they have been used.
