All hardware shall be corrosion resistant. Dust-Tite housing shall be totally sealed from particulate entry. Housing shall not incorporate weep holes, wicks or any route for direct exchange with outside air. Lens assembly shall be accessible with a single tool. Capable of 195 vertical aiming with MA2 mastfitter (standard). Optional Yoke mounting provides 360 aiming. QL unit is available in 19 housing only. Optical housing constructed to IP65. Door Frame And Lens Assembly Door frame shall be one piece die-cast aluminum secured by four captive stainless steel screws, and shall be retained by hinge for easy lamp access. Mechanical stops shall ensure proper compression of memory retentive gasket. Lens shall be 7/32 clear tempered glass to withstand thermal and physical shock. Cored holes in door frame allows means of attachment for glare shield, auxiliary polycarbonate lens, barn doors, auxiliary lens frame and wireguard assembly. Optical Module HID optical reflector assembly shall be field rotatable and exchangeable. Two beam patterns are available for W HID units. Five beam patterns are available for HID units W units. A cut-off optical assembly, which meets IES cutoff criteria, is available for W HID units. HID unit s multi-faceted, segmented reflectors utilizes a minimum 85% reflectivity anodized lighting sheet. QL unit uses 94% minimum reflectivity sheet. QL unit available with DQL beam pattern only. Socket HID Units: Sockets are porcelain, grip-type mogul base, 4KV rated (5KV rated for 1000W HPS); W units have medium base sockets. QL Units: Lamp and lamp holder are pre-assembled and are integral in QL induction lamp units. Ballast HID Units: Ballast shall be factory installed and wired with leads extending into the MA2 mastfitter for field connection within the wiring compartment. Ballast is high power factor with reliable starting to -29 C (-20 F) for Metal Halide, -34 C (-30 F) for Pulse Start Metal Halide, and -40 C (-40 F) for HPS. Class H, 180 C (356 F) rated insulation. Crest factor does not exceed 1.8. QL Units: Ballast shall be electronic, high frequency, high power factor with reliable starting to -40 C (-40 F), with THD of <10%. Lamp/generator combination in QL unit has a 100,000 hour rated lamp life. Mounting A heavy duty, die-cast aluminum integral mastfitter (MA2) is standard, with wiring compartment and gasketed cover for 2-3/8 O.D. x 4 tall vertical tenon. Vertical aiming adjustment is achieved by loosening one stainless steel mounting bolt. Adjustment may be made up 95 or down 100 when mounted on extended 2-3/8 O.D. tenons. Yoke mounting bracket allows mounting to any flat surface and includes a prewired SO cord. Finish Standard finish shall be textured black UltraClad polyester powder coating, 2.5 mil nominal thickness, electrostatically applied and oven cured. All components shall be thoroughly cleaned by a 5 stage pretreatment process including iron phosphate bath and non-chromic acid etching stages, ensuring optimum performance characteristics. Other colors may be specified. Listings ETL/cETL Listed luminaire to the UL 1598 standards, suitable for Wet Locations and for above horizontal aiming.
