5 c41,-1-11-a 4-i4 Engineers Specifications for Horizontal Cradle-Mounted Pum eneral Description Casing high grade cast iron with back pull-out construction feature which permits fast, easy access to stuffing box, impeller, and easing rings, witnout disturbing suction or discharge piping; and a confined gasket between the casing and stuffing box cover. The easing shall be single -end suction, vertical centerline discharge which makes the pump self- venting, provided with a drain tap, and replaceable (bronze/cast iron) casing rings, The casing shall have cast-in mounting feet which supports directly under the center of the casing and provides maximum rigidity to prevent distortiorrand misalignment. The casing shall be provided with lb, NSI F.F. suction flange and lb. FF discharge flange. The casing shall be hydrostatically tested to 11/2 times the maximurn rated pressure. Impeller shall be (bronze/cast iron) closed type. The impeller is hydraulically, statically, and dynamically balanced; keyed to the shaft, and held with a cap screw and washer, preventing the impeller from backing off if rotation is reversed.
