Adjustment range The STIHL Cutquik TS 700 cut-off machine guard adjustment range (A and B respectively) will be determined by the stop pin () installed into the cast arm and by the lugs (arrows) molded onto the guard (). Guard 4 4 Top: Bottom: Previous support New support With the introduction of the guard with defined adjustment range (see b.), the previous support () is being replaced by the new version () The new support differs by a thread () for installation of the stop pin (see b.4) and additional holes (4) for fastening the limit stop (see b.5). The previous stop without thread and without additional holes is no longer available. The new version can also be used for older machines with the previous support TI046 KN Previous guard New guard The previous guard dia. 50 mm ( ) is being replaced by the new version The new guard dia. 50 mm differs from the previous version by the molded lugs (arrows), which, together with the stop pins (see b.4) installed into the guard (see b.), define the adjustment range (see b.) of the guard. The previous guard dia. 50 mm ( ) remains available for older machines. Service notes The previous guard dia. 50 mm ( ) may only be installed in machines with the previous guard. The stop pin () installed into the support () together with the lugs molded onto the guard (see b.), determine the adjustment range (see b.). 5 Technical Information Page 5.9 Reconfiguring the "support with guard" from guard on the inboard side to guard on the outboard side The "support with guard" is mounted on the inboard side by the manufacturer. The "support with guard" can also be mounted on the outboard side depending on requirements. Assembly on the inboard side is recommended for better balance.. Remove the abrasive wheel Remove water attachment Remove the adjusting lever. Loosen the banjo bolt () with the combination wrench and remove it together with the seal in the process, remove the square nut from the inside of the guard from the guide. Remove bolt (). Turn the adjusting lever () upwards and remove 76TI05 KN 76TI050 KN Slacken the V-belt. Loosen the banjo bolt () with the combination wrench in the process, remove the square nut from the inside of the guard from the guide. Remove the water hose () with connector from the adjusting lever () 76TI05 KN. Loosen the hexagon head screws () do not remove them. Turn the tensioning nut () counterclockwise with the combination wrench approx. /4 turn, max. to stop = 0. Remove hexagon head screws () TI_06_00_0_0_0.fm

6 Page 6 Technical Information For machines with the new V-belt guard (see b ):. Loosen the captive nuts do not remove. Turn the tensioning nut () counterclockwise with the combination wrench approx. /4 turn, max. to stop = 0. Remove the captive nuts from studs Remove the V-belt guard. Slide V-belt guard () off to the front and remove the poly V-belt () from the front pulley (). Remove the "support with guard" (4) 4 Preparing the "support with guard" for outboard mounting 76TI05 KN. Turn the guard so it is in the position shown (see picture). Install and tighten the stop pin (). Insert limit stop () align the hole in the limit stop with the hole in the support. Install the screw () and tighten. Move the adjusting lever (4) to position (A). Install the screw (5) and tighten 6 5 A 4 76TI055 KN. Remove the bolt () from the limit stop (). Remove the limit stop (). Remove stop pin () 76TI054 KN. Turn the "support with guard" so that the guard is on the outboard side. Insert the square nut into the guide in the guard and hold it in place. Install the shorter banjo bolt (6) and washer at the adjusting lever and tighten with the combination wrench 76TI056 KN TI_06_00_0_0_0.fm

7 Technical Information Page 7 Mount "support with guard" guard on the outboard side Connect water connection. Fit the "support with guard" () on the outboard side at the same time, guide the poly V-belt over the belt pulley. Check that belt moves easily. Install the V-belt guard () into place. Align the threaded holes in the support with the holes in the V-belt guard. Install the screws () do not tighten 76TI057 KN. Insert the longer banjo bolt () through the connector () of the water attachment observe the position of the connector. Insert the square nut into the guide in the guard and hold it in place. Fit the support with the longer banjo bolt on the adjusting lever () install the banjo bolt and tighten with the combination wrench. Tension the ribbed V-belt 76TI058 KN For machines with the new V-belt guard (see b ):. Install the V-belt guard () into place. Fit the captive nuts and thread them onto the studs by hand do not tighten TI_06_00_0_0_0.fm

8 Page 8 Technical Information Check the adjustment range of the guard Preparing the "support with guard" for inboard mounting A 76TI060 KN. Rotate the guard forwards and backwards as far as possible adjustment range (A) must be limited by the stop pin 76TI059 KN. Remove the bolt () from the limit stop (). Remove the limit stop (). Remove stop pin ().0 Inboard mounting. Remove abrasive wheel. Remove water attachment. Remove the adjusting lever. Slacken the V-belt. Remove the V-belt guard. Remove poly V-belt. Remove "support with guard". Turn the guard so that it is in the position shown (see picture). Install and tighten the stop pin (). Insert limit stop () align the hole in the limit stop with the hole in the support. Install the screw () and tighten. Install the adjusting lever. Mount "support with guard" guard on the inboard side. Fit the ribbed poly V-belt. Install the V-belt guard. Connect water connection. Tension the ribbed V-belt 76TI054 KN TI_06_00_0_0_0.fm
