2 The water jacket cooled WGM motors were desined to meet the increasin demand for compact and reduced noise level machines, where hih output power versus frame size ratio is required. 4 Construction features The water coolin system for WGM motors is provided by circulation of water over the frame construction and endshields. Besides allowin an effective thermal exchane between motor and the water, this coolin system reduces the temperature of the hoses alon the rooves and increases the output power versus frame size ratio. Additionally, this system maintains the thermal effi ciency, even at reduced speeds, which allows the application of this motor with frequency drives at hih speed rane on severe application that requires constant torque. The water coolin system also minimizes the heat exchane with the environment, cools down the bearins without requirin independent coolin system alon with keepin low noise level.
