3 REFINED PETROLEUI4 PRODUCTS November, 1958 Output of refined petroleum products in Canada during November, 1958 totalled 20, 926,005 barrels compared with 18,519,587 barrels in November, 1957, The total for the month under review included 7,618,030 barrels of motor gasoline, 70,425 barrels of aviation gasoline, 3,818,381 barrels of heavy fuel oil (Nos. 4, 5 and 6), 1,773,218 barrels of diesel fuel, 3,087,009 barrels of light fuel, 1,454,212 barrels of kerosene, stove oil (No. 1 fuel oil) and tractor fuel, 381,775 barrels of aviation turbo fuel, 2,722,955 barrels of naphtha specialties, and other refinery products such as lubricating oils, asphalt, coke, liquefied petroleum gases, etc. Refineries in Canada used 20,786,290 barrels of crude oil during November, 1958, compared with 18,361,153 barrels in November, Receipts of crude oil during the current month totalled 21,574,447 barrels, including 9,855,820 barrels of imported oil and 11,718,627 barrels from Canadian sources of supply. Inventories of crude at the end of the month amounted to 23, 555,682 barrels compared with 23,792,031 barrels on the corresponding date of last year. These figures include stocks held at the field, in pipeline systems and in refineries. Net sales of liquid petroleum fuels in Canada, as computed from production, imports, exports, changes in inventories, etc., were as foll.is in November, 1958, comparable figures for corresponding month of 1957 in brackets, all figures being in barrels of 35 Imperial gallons; naphtha specialties, 109,865 (113,550); aviation gasoline, 218,635 (230,828); motor gasoline, 6,998,981 (6,803,741); aviation turbo fuel, 325,165 (266,165); tractor fuel, kerosene and stove oil (No. 1 fuel oil), 1,924,514 (1,549,386); diesel fuel, 1,750,533 (1,776,034); light fuel oil (nos. 2 and 3), 5,424,493 (5,541,854); and heavy fuel oil (Nos. 4, 5 and 6), 4,014,178 (4,771, 009). Explanatory Notes Note: 1. Effective January and June 1958 the reports in this acne reflect a major change in concept involving the treatment of import data see "Explanatory Notes" in January and June 1958 reports for details. ' 2. Import totals uhown in Table 3 were developed from actual data supplied by respondents in November with an adjustment involving September data supplied by the External Trade Section.
