1 QUOLIS 000 DENTAL UNIT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS IMPORTANT This manual provides installation instructions for the BELMONT QUOLIS000 UNIT. The instructions contained in this booklet should be thoroughly read and understood before installing the chair and unit. After the installation has been completed, keep this manual in a safe place and refer to it for future maintenance. R

3 Intended Use of the Product This product is an active therapeutic device intended to administer or exchange energy of electric, air and water for the exclusive use for diagnoses, treatments and relative procedures of dentistry, and its characteristic is not in a potentially hazardous way between such energy and human body, taking account of the nature, the density and site of application of the energy. The product must be operated or handled by the qualified dentists or by dental staffs under the supervision of the dentist. Such dentists or dental staffs should instruct and/or assist the patients to approach to and leave from the product. Patients should not be allowed to operate or handle the product unless he/she is so instructed. The product is supplied together with the handpieces like electric micromotor, air turbine and/or motor, scaler and so on. 9 . Introduction -. Precautions for installation Do not connect to power supply other than 0V/0Hz. Ground the unit properly. Attach the junction box firmly to the floor. When electric micromotor (option) or electric scaler (option) is installed, please refer to the manual for the each device. Do not drop or hit the chair. When the installation process has been completed, verify that all the mechanical and electrical functions are working properly and that there is no evidence of oil, water or air leakage. Attach the dental chair to the floor before mounting the unit. Refer to the installation manual of Quolis 000 dental chair to know how to install the dental chair. 11 . Swing Arm -. How to Install the Swing Arm The swing arm assembly shall be mounted at the front of the chair under the seat.. Raise the seat frame of the chair as shown. CAUTION Seat Frame Failure to lift seat frame as shown can result in damage to paint finish of swing arm in subsequent steps.. Insert M0 x mm flat head screw in the threaded hole on the top side of the plate, center. Leave " from the top of screw to plate surface.. Raise the seat.. Attach swing arm assembly to chair by aligning M0 x mm screw with recess in front of the seat and slide screw into slot. Flange cover Flat Head Screw Swing arm plate. Locate - M0 x 0mm leveling set screws and insert into bottom side of swing arm plate.. Adjust the level of the swing arm plate with the four socket set screws.. Tighten the - M0 x 0 mm socket head screws. Lift the swing arm if needed.. Junction Box -. How to Install the Junction Box Refer to Floor Template for connection of water, air, power, drain hose and vacuum hose. X Socket head screws (M0 x 0mm) for level adjustment X Socket head screws (M0 x 0mm) for securing arm assembly to the chair. Raise the chair up. Turn off the power of the chair. Remove two slotted M x 0mm screws from each side of the pump cover and remove pump cover. Screws for J.box cover Main Switch Screws for pump cover. Place the junction box frame in front of the chair. (The plan of the plumbing position needs to be done in advance. See the flow diagram) Screws x. Attach the junction box frame to the floor with three M x mm round head philips wood screws. - -

12 . Balance Arm for the Doctor s Control -. How to Install the Balance Arm. Lower the chair. Balance arm cover. Insert the balance arm into the top of the swing arm.. Slide the balance arm cover off balance arm and route tubing and cables down into the swing arm. Make sure that the hoses are not twisted.. Remove the seat flange cover from chair by removing four M x mm screws and sub-link cover by removing two M x mm screws on the back of the chair cantilever lift arm. Screws for flange cover. Route umbilical tubing & wires from swing arm into chair. Tubing & wires should be routed over the top of the pivot bar in the front of the cantilever arm.. Feed umbilical down between nd pivot bar and into plastic retaining loop. Main Link Axis Flange cover Sub link cover Sub Link Axis Feed tubing between PCB box and Pump PCB box Route tubing and wires over the top of the pivot bar in front of the chair Tubing is routed through the plastic retainer loop and out thoroug the front of the chair Pump. Feed tubing between PCB box and pump and out to the front of the chair.. Slide in the balance arm cover and into the channels along the balance arm and the balance arm end cap with two M x 0mm screws. 9. Adjust M x mm balance arm friction adjustment screw (M x mm). 13 -. How to Plumb the Doctor s Control CAUTION If Vac Pac or PMU is installed with Dr. table, run tubings for Vac Pac or PMU at the same time.. Cut the duct hose to desired length and insert it between retainers inside of the pump cover and the junction box.. Attach the manual on/off valve to the air supply pipe. Purge air through valve to clean debris. Attach automatic valve assembly for air to manual valve. Do the same thingfor the water assembly ordered with "city water" option. AIR Duct Hose If PMU is not purchased, Utility package for water becomes an option.the pressure gauge for air has higher scale range. WATER (Optional) Utility Package. How to Plumb the Water Bottle. Connect the tubing labeled, and to the manifold inside the junction box. Utility package for water is an option. Make sure that City/Bottle switch is equipped on the Swing Arm. CAUTION If City/Bottle switch is not equipped, do not connect green / tube (). This will cause water leak. 15 -. How to install the Foot Control Number Color (Size) Function (/ OD) Drive 0 (/ OD) In (/ OD) Chip (Air for spray, not used) 9 Gray (/ OD) Water (Pilot air for water for spray, not used). Insert foot control tubing through channel in chair base and feed through chairs into J.box.. Connect the tubing labeled,, 9 and 0 to the tubing from the doctor table. Note : Although the / OD gray tubing and yellow / OD tubing are not used, connect to prevent air leaks. Drive IN. Attach the foot control tubing to the chair base with a nylon clamp (see photo). Water Pilot Foot control tbings / Tubing (Gray) / Tubing () / Tubing () Chip Water Pilot Chip DRIVE IN / Sleeve / Sleeve / Tubing (). Monitor Mount(Optional) -. How to Install the Monitor Arm. Install the monitor arm to the swing arm. See - How to install swing arm.. Feed the cables thought the swing arm and the chair, and bring the end into the junction box.. Install the monitor mount to the monitor arm.. Connect the cables inside Junction box. Note : LCD monitors are not supplied from Belmont. The mounting holes on back of monitor should be designed for attachment of or 000 mm VESA mgt pattern. - -

16 9. Light Pole (Optional) 9-. How to Install the Light Pole. For installation of the dental light, see the installation and operation manual of Quolis dental light.. Position the swing arm to either side of the chair and lock it in place with the dental light locking pin. When you combine Dr. Table and PMU with a water bottle. Set Lock Pin on A position to avoid the interference of a bottle and a swing arm. CAUTION < A Position > Locking Pin Do not remove the cardboard paper put on the swing arm until the seat cushion has been attached to the seat frame with screws, otherwise the surface of the light pole will be scratched off when swinging the arm. 0. Vac Pac(Optional) 0-. How to Install the Vac Pac. Remove four screws M x mm and the flange cover of the chair.. Insert two M0 x 0mm socket head cap screws into the top threaded hole on the rear side of the chair. Screws should extend approximately " from chair. Screw for flange cover. Hook the assistant arm mounting bracket underneath the two socket head cap screws.tilt the bracket slightly and lift it. Place the lower edge of the mounting bracket on the projections of the flange. Socket head cap screw approx.. Tighten lower M0 x 0mm socket head cap screws through swing arm mounting bracket. Tighten all four screws. Projections of the flange. Route the umbilical tubing with unit umbilical down through chair, between the main link and sub link Axis, and bring the end to the junction box. Tie the tubing with the white nylon clamp. 17 0-. How to Plumb the JBOX-Utility (Vac Pac). Cut the duct hose to desired length and insert it between retainers inside of the pump cover and the junction box.. Attach the manual on/off valve to the air supply pipe.purge air through valve to clean debris. Attach automatic valve assembly for air to manual valve. Do the same thing for the water assembly ordered with "city water" option.. As below drawing shows, connect tubings and wires. If connection end is plugged, use supplied / fitting. AIR Duct Hose / Sleeve / Sleeve WATER (Optional) Utility Package / Tube. Connect / Vacuum hose.. Connect wires under a pump cover. Vacuum Vac Pac Line Chair Line - -

18 . PMU(Optional) -. How to Install the PMU. Remove four screws M x mm and the flange cover of the chair. Screw for flange cover. Insert two M0 x 0mm socket head cap screws into the top threaded hole on the rear side of the chair. Screws should extend approximately " from chair. Socket head cap screw approx. Projections of the flange. Hook the assistant arm mounting bracket underneath the two socket head cap screws. Tilt the bracket slightly and lift it. Place the lower edge of the mounting bracket on the projections of the flange.. Tighten lower M0 x 0mm socket head cap screws through swing arm mounting bracket. Tighten all four screws. Tighten Projection of the flange. Route the umbilical tubing with unit umbilical down through chair, between the main link and sub link, and bring the end to the junction box. 19 -. How to Install the Cuspidor Bowl.. Take the main cover off by unscrewing three screws.. Remove a cap bolt. Body Cap Bolt Cuspidor Bowl Washer. Insert Cuspidor Bowl into Rotation Axis. Do not forget to insert an attached washer. Main Cover. As below drawing shows, connect drain hose, tubings and wires. () We supply long hoses. As needed, cut them accordingly. () To avoid water leak, insert barb fittings to the end. (Use a connector, when an optional Cuspidor Drain Kit in installed) () Connect the drain hoses by a hose clamp. () Connect tubings by matching colors and numbers. () Connect wirings by using a P wire connector. Connect Wire P Connector / Sleeve hose clamp Cuspidor Drain Valve (Option) / Tube / Tube Green Connect tubings Connect Wirings. When connections have been completed, put the main cover and cap bolt back. CAUTION Please avoid the external force on Drain Hose, tubings and Wires. This will cause the malfunction or damage to the equipment. - -

20 -. How to Plimb the JBOX-Utility. Cut the duct hose to desired length and insert it between retainers inside of the pump cover and the junction box.. Connect wires in J Box as follows.. Attach the manual on/off valve to the air supply pipe.purge air through valve to clean debris. Attach automatic valve assembly for air to manual valve. Do the same thing for the water assembly ordered with "city water" option. Duct Hose AIR WATER (Optional) Utility Package Wiring in J Box () Dr.Table and PMU 9P PMU Line P Chair Line. Connect Vacuum Hose (/) and Drain Hose (/) Vacuum hose have uneven surface. We supply long hoses. As needed, cut them accordingly. 21 -. Installation of Accessories.. Install, Nozzles, Cap & Basket Strainer. Cap Basket Strainer Nozzles. Final Adjustments -. Swing Arm. Attach the lower tubing cover to the bottom of the swing arm mounting bracket with four M x mm.. Replace the chair pump cover and the junction box cover and fasten with M x 0mm screw and tighten firmly with a slotted screw driver. CAUTION Fasten the pump cover and junction box cover firmly with a screw driver with screws provided and tighten -. How to Adjust the Swing Arm Friction The friction of the swing arm for Doctor's control, dental light and monitor must be adjusted independently.. Adjust the M x mm socket set screw beneath the swing arm. Set screw Set screw -. How to Adjust the Rotation Tension of Assistant Arm.. Adjusting screw for vertical angle is located here. To access adjusting screw, pull the rubber cover off. -. How to adjust the water flow volume of Cupfiller and Bowl Rinse.. Adjust the water flow by pinch valves. Pinch Valves : Cupfiller Green : Bowl Rinse - -

22 . Connect the Power Cable and Confirms functionality.. Connect the power cables(0v), electrical cables and the connectors to the electrical receptacle inside the junction box for chair and unit. CAUTION Ground reliability can only be achieved when the equipment is connected to an equivalent receptacle marked HOSPITAL only or HOSPITAL GRADE.. Adjust the regulator pressures. Air : psi. Water (optional) : 0-0psi. When all of the installation work are done, turn the main switch on. Confirms that each part functions correctly. Then put the cover on. ON OFF. Option -. How to Install the Tray Holder The tray holder can be mounted at either side of the Doctor's control.. Fit the tray holder to the tray arm. Install the tray arm to beneath the Doctor's control with two screws M x mm. This can be installed on the other side. Two holes on the back - -
