1 INSTRUCTIONS MANUAL Installation Recommending Sensor for Valve Signaling

2 Valve Signaling: The valve sensor was idealized to signal rotary valves, which works with ¼ of turn (90 o ), being composed basically of two inductive proximity sensor mounted in the same housing. For that the sensor can identify the open or closed valve position, is supplied also a activator, composed of a flag that adapts directly to pneumatic actuator shaft, and has two metallic or magnetic target that activating the sensor on the two valve positions. Functioning: The valve detection when open or closed is realized by two internal proximity sensors mounted in front of housing, symbolizing by two targets on the sensing face. The local flag was idealized to be mounted over the pneumatic actuator shaft and when turn 90 o, the its metallic or magnetic target activates one of two sensors signaling the open or closed valve. Activating Kit with Signaling: The activating kit is composed by local activator with its metallic targets. The set still include 1 adapter disc and the screws: M6x40mm for local activator fixation in the shaft and 2 screws for the sensor fixation: M5x55mm. Inductive Sensor: The inductive sensor for the valve signaling detects the metallic targets present on the local indicator providing the open or closed indication of the valve. Magnetic Sensor: The magnetic sensor for the valve signaling detects the magnetic targets (magnet) present in the local indicator proposing then the valve indication if open or closed. Mechanical Dimensions: Activating Kit without Signaling: The activating kit is composed by the target with its metallic targets, where are supplied 3 units, but only two are used. The set still include 2 adapter discs, 2 greens, 2 blues and 1 black cover beside this are supplied the screws: M6x30mm for target fixation in the shaft and 2 screws for sensor fixation: M5x40mm. 62,39 67,35 45,51 92,51 112,98 109,99 111,00 115,78 111,68 Dimensions M32 - Plastic Dimensions MA32 - Aluminum Dimensions MX32 - Stainless Steel 2 Sense

3 Namur Standard: To standardize the coupling in pneumatic actuators, the Namur standard standardizes the fixation holes for the double sensor and its activator, according to the drawing below: X Shaft Fit: The shaft must have a tear with 4mm of weight by 4mm of depth for that the activator s surface fits perfectly. 4 4 Actuator - Higher View M6 M5 4mm 4mm Y Z shaft Thread: The shaft must have still a threaded hole preferentially with M6 thread, but admits also M6x1 thread of M4 or M5, however the activator is supplied with a M6x40mm screw if for an activator with local visual signaling and M6x25mm screw for an activator without signaling and the shaft must have the hole with depth higher than 20mm. 12mm Actuator - Side View Namur DIM X 80 mm 80 mm 130 mm 130 mm DIM Y DIM Z 30 mm 30 mm 30 mm 30 mm 20 mm 30 mm 30 mm 50 mm shaft Type: For that the sensor activator fits perfectly in the shaft, it must have the following characteristics: Height of shaft: One of the most important factors is the height of shaft that must be adequate for that the activator does not scrape on the actuator base and neither stays suspended dislocating the metallic targets from its position in relation to the sensors target. The activator admits three height of shaft, always measured in relation to the actuator base, according to showed below: shaft of 30mm Height: The activator of the valve double sensor was projected to Namur shaft with 30mm height, where it couples perfectly without scrape on the actuator base and keeps the metallic targets of the sensor activating in the correct height. B shaft Diameter: The sensor activator admits the shaft diameter from 11mm to 45mm. shaft of 20mm Height: Optionally the activator can be mounted over an shaft of 20mm height, but for that it must use the adapter disc supplied with the Kit. shaft of 10mm Height: It is still possible to use with an actuator of 10mm height, but for that it must request one more adapter disc. 11 min. 45 máx. 18 Sensors to Industrial Network: The network sensors are perfect for valves automation, because it permits through of an unique cable, to transmit the open or closed state of the valve and receive the command for activating the solenoid valve and if it was low power it can be connected to the network. Other network system advantage is the possibility of the sensor to transmit a diagnostic, mainly when the solenoid coil is open or short-circuited. Magnetic Sensors: Incorporate the sensor of Hall effect that detect the targets, that in this case they are magnetics, resulting in higher reliability because the sensors are polarized, it means, the sensor 1 just detect the magnet with north pole and the sensor 2 just detect the magnet with south pole, avoiding reverse detections. Topology: Connection System: The exclusive connection system becomes easy the substitution of the sensors due to have terminal plug in type, allowing that the sensor be rapidly substituted, without interrupt the rest of network functioning. It has a rubber ring for protection class, two cables press PG 13,5 for input and output of network cables and a cable press PG 9 for solenoid valve cable, allowing then an excellent protection class against liquid penetration in the interior of the sensor connection facility, that eliminate the necessity of external network derivates. Network communication rate that must equally be configured the same for all sensors. Maximum length of the cable, that depends on the communication rate used. The derivations must be added to the maximum cable length. Voltage drop during the line, must be considered of way that any equipment be feeding with a voltage lower than 21.6V, avoiding that the solenoid valves come to fault due to lack of feeding. Leds, Bits e Diagnostics: The sensors for industrial network have the short or open solenoid diagnostic, indicating the fault locally through of the network led. Tabel of Bits: Input Bit 0 Bit 1 Bit 2 sensor 1 sensor 2 Supply < 19 or >29V Leds Function Led Color Description S1 yellow light on when the S1 sensor is activated S2 yellow light on when the S2 sensor is activated Network green / red light on green: connected light on red: not connected or doubled address Sol yellow blinking yellow: short or open output Address: In the Profibus DP models the address is eased and does not request the use of configuration software because it has a rotary key of easy use protected on the connection facility. The sensors for industrial network have the short or open solenoid diagnostic, indicating the fault locally through of the network led. Sense 21
