4 Local Signalling With Indication Open/ Closed The sensor can be supplied with a high visibility local visual signaller, which in addition to indicating the open or closed position of the valve, has two magnetic or metallic actuators that sensitize the internal sensors of the dual sensor remotely indicating the open or closed position of the valve. Sensoring without contact The electronic sensor detects the magnetic or metallic actuator installed in the local signaller, and sends a signal to the PLC, with the valve positioning. 6 Conventional Sensors The valve signalling sensor was designed to automate rotary valves, especially with 1/4 turn (90 ) pneumatic actuators, consisting primarily of two sensors that detect the open and closed position of the valve, locally indicated by high visibility signaller. The sensor casing has a bold and robust design that fits perfectly in standard NAMUR actuators (with 30x80mm drilling) and also provides easy sensor replacement without the need to drop the cables due to exclusive plug-in connection box that incorporates even the cable-glands. 7 Electric Versions DC AC Direct current sensors are versatile, economical, no risk of electric shock and can be used in: interlock systems in PLC or relay logics; through models: 2E2. 2N4 or even in 2N. In versions for alternating current, we provide the 2WA model, with solid state output, for use in PLC and relays. AC/DC The magnetic sensor with mechanical contact can operate with PLCs or relays, in AC (alternating current) and DC (direct current). Solenoid The sensor has an input and an output for solenoid valve. The sensor in this case only serves as a connection box, as it connects the cable that brings the actuation command to the solenoid coil. 2E2 - PNP Sensor They are sensors which have at the output stage a transistor whose function is to switch (on or off) the negative terminal of the supply. In this case the loads must be connected to the negative pole of the power supply to the output that will provide the positive signal. 2N - NAMUR Sensor Similar to conventional sensors differing only by not having the output stage with a switching transistor. Typically applied in potentially explosive atmospheres.. 2N4-2wire direct current They are direct current sensors similar to PNP, but without the third wire that would supply the sensor. The power of the internal circuit of the sensor is obtained by a small current flowing through the load, which generates a small voltage drop in the sensor. 2WA - alternating current NO 2-wire sensors for use in alternating current, where the load should be connected in series with the sensor, also feeding through a small current flowing through the load and generates a small voltage drop in the sensor. RDR - Magnetic Sensor The RDR series uses a magnetic sensor that detects a magnet in its actuator, and allows its use in both AC (alternating current) and DC (direct current) without the need to supply the sensor, just like a reversible mechanical contact. 8 Plug-in Connection System Revolutionary system of connections, which enables the delivery sensor coupled to the actuator for subsequent electrical assembly on the end user, it uses terminal bolt. The electrical junction box has a high degree of sealing against ingress of liquids, and due to the terminal board plug-in, allows including sensor replacement without disconnecting the wiring. The sensor has an electrical input protected by cable gland for connection to PLC input card with a driver up to 6 routes. A second input receives the electrical solenoid control cable which can be output card of the PLC. The third entry also with cable high sealing power should be used to connect the cable from the solenoid valve location because the command received from the PLC is connected to the cable when the solenoid engages the connector to the sensor. 12 Industrial Networks Functioning Principle Networked sensors are perfect for valve automation as they allow transmitting through a single cable the open or closed state of the valve and receive the command for activating the solenoid valve, if low power can be coupled to the network. Another advantage of the network system and the possibility of transmitting a sensor diagnosis, especially short-circuit or open coil solenoid. Magnetic sensors They incorporate magnetic sensors that detect the actuator targets, which in this case are magnetics, providing greater reliability because the sensors are polarized, ie, only one sensor detects the magnet with the north pole and the second sensor only detects the magnet with the south pole, thus avoiding reversed detection. 13 Plug-in Connection System The unique connection system facilitates replacement of sensors by having plug-in terminals, allowing the sensor to be quickly replaced without interrupting the operation of the rest of the network. It has O-ring rubber and incorporates two PG 13.5 cable glands for input and output of network cables and a PG 9 cable gland for solenoid valve cable, thus allowing an excellent seal against penetration of liquids inside the sensor connection box, which eliminates the need for network shunts and external connection box. 15 Network AS-Interface AS-Interface is a low-cost connection system, designed to operate with a pair of wires that transmits power and digital communication at a distance of 100 m and can be extended by the use of repeaters / expanders. Especially suitable for work in the lower levels of process automation and use of simple field devices, often binary, such as switches, proximity sensors, auxiliary contacts, solenoid valves, signalers, contactors, etc., that need to interoperate in isolated location, controlled by PLC or PC. AS-Interface network (Actuator - Sensor Interface) is the simplest solution in automation network. The network addressing is done via software or manual programmer and equipment may be addressed from 1A to 31B, totaling 62 addresses on the network. Network Repeater ASI network repeater enables network deployment with over 100 metres long, allowing slaves to be installed either before the repeater (line 1) and after the repeater (line 2). 17 DeviceNet The DeviceNet network is based on the CAN (Controller Area Network) protocol, developed by Bosch in the 80s originally for automotive applications. Later adapted to industrial use, due to the excellent performance achieved in this sector, as in an automobile have all the features that are critical in an industry, such as high temperature, humidity, noise eletromagnetics, while if you need high speed responsiveness and reliability because the airbag and ABS are directly involved in the risk of death and require accurate and fast actuations. The CAN protocol defines a methodology MAC (Medium Access Control) on a unique priority system that does not lose data in the event of a collision, because the device with the lowest priority detects and awaits the completion of priority. 19 Profibus DP Network The DP profile is suitable for both replacement of conventional parallel transmission signal 24V (used in industrial automation) as for the analogue 4-20mA in process automation. The central devices (such as PLC / PC control systems or processes) communicate with field devices distributed (such as drives, valves, I / O or transducers measure) through a serial connection. 25 Intelligence Function The sensor has an intelligence function, which enables counting performances of the solenoid valve and generates an alarm if the number of attempts is exceeded, failure of performance sensors (valve locked) and voltage supply. This function is enabled by software, the output bit 2. Besides the configuration via software is necessary to configure the dipswitches 1-4, in order to determine how many cycles the sensor learn the average valve actuation and 5-8 for tolerance in time before accusing intelligence failure that can be 10% to 40%.
