1 TL - Keyless Entry/Security Alarm System Control Unit Input Test '99-01 Models 1. Before testing the keyless entry/security control functions, troubleshoot the multiplex control system. Multiplex Control Unit, Driver's 2. Remove the driver's multiplex control unit from the driver's under-dash. 3. Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact. 2 4. With the driver's multiplex control unit still disconnected, make these input tests at the connector and driver's under-dash sockets. If all the input tests prove OK go to step 5. B11 BLK Under all conditions Check for continuity to Poor ground (G503) A12 Fuse/relay box socket Under all conditions battery voltage. Blown No. 13 (7.5A) fuse in the A24 Ignition switch ON (II) battery voltage. Blown No. 9 (7.5A) fuse in the driver's under-dash Faulty driver's A10 Headlight switch ON ( ) and jump A10 to battery voltage The headlights should come on. Faulty headlight relay 1 or 2 Faulty combination light switch A5 Under all conditions Attach to ground: The security indicator should come on. Poor ground (G201) Faulty keyless buzzer B14 ('99 model) BRN Under all conditions Check for continuity between B14 terminal and keyless receiver 1P terminal:there should be B21 BLU Under all conditions ground:there shoudl be 1 V or less. Reconnect the passenger's multiplex control unit to the, and perform the following input tests at the appropriate connectors on the. For connector socket location. Reconnect the connector to the door multiplex control unit, make these input tests at the connector. If all the input tests prove OK, go to step 14.
