9 SFC = Surface Facilities associated with a cavern: Receiving system that enables slurrying of oilfield waste into a cavern. FD= fluid disposal: surface facilities associated wth a disposal well (class 1b or 1a) integrated with waste WPF WPF = Waste Processing Facility: Normally tanks used for purposes such as neutralization of materials, solids processing and hydrocarbon extraction. Facility may also include deep well injection of fluids and cavern disposal. TS = Transfer Station: Provides short term storage for 3rd party oilfield waste and, if approved, nonoilfield waste which is later transferred to an appropriate facility for processing. ST = Transfer Station: Provides short term storage for 1st party oilfield waste and, if approved, nonoilfield waste which is later transferred to an appropriate facility for processing. CT = Custom Treater: Separates oil/water emulsions received directly from well licensees, and treats the oil to meet pipeline specifications. Facility may also include deep well injection of fluids. WT = Waste Transfer Area: Provides short term storage for 3rd party oilfield waste and, if approved, non-oilfield waste which is later transferred to an appropriate DFF = Drilling Fluid Facility: is approved to accept, store, and process drilling fluids (hydrocarbonbased and/or water-based) for the purpose of blending, storage, recycling and re-use by third parties

10 TW = Truck Wash: Consists of a wash bay where fresh or produced water (or both) is used in combination with high-pressure washing equipment TM = Clean Oil Terminal: The receipt of crude oil and subsequent transfer either by truck or pipeline to a third party for sales TTF = Thermal Treatment: Remove organic components in oilfield waste by incineration, thermal oxidation, thermal desorption, thermal phase separation, or thermal distillation recovery
