2 Double Block and Bleed Plug Valves were introduced in the early 50s to meet requirements of bubble tight services in the petroleum industry and till this date there has been little enhancement in the valve design and new products copies introduced in the market continue with the same inherent and sealing designs. With corrosion being the main cause of failure on the plug, the inherit design issues is a major cause of seizing slips and damaged seals, peeling and crackling of the Electroless Nickel Plating ( ENP) seat face. POSIWELL has for the last 24 years, acquired vast experiences in valves automation, repair, maintenance and a solution provider for valves modification. Since the Mid 90s, we have successfully modified and converted standard API 600 Gate Valves for DBB applications. DBB Plug Valves being the most commonly used in the petroleum industry, are prone to continuous maintenance and expensive repairs. With our extensive experience and understanding the root cause failure on these valves, we embarked on our new design, a Double Block & Bleed Gate Valve. 5 Locking Device Position Indicator Vibration is a common issues for piping layout in most installation. Posiwell have incorporated a Hand-Wheel locking devise to secure the valve especially at the Fully Open position.
