11 moke and heat exhaust ventilation systems (HEV's) MegaluX moke and Heat exhaust ventilation systems (HEV's) are officially proofed bij DIN and VD according to the European standard EN 20-2 and VDA 259. his standard also gives the design methods and guidelines for planning a good smoke and heat control system into fire compartments of a building. With MegaluX HEV ystems smoke and heat (in case of fire) are extracted from the fire compartment of a building so: - humanlives are protected against build up of smoke and heat in the ascape arias; - the building construction is better protected because the temperature stays lower; - direct fire damage to inventory is less because of slower movement of the fire trough the building; - firefighters can work faster and more accurate. Of course the use of kydomes brings the advantage of daylight into the building. Every MegaluX HEV ystem is a complete delivered automatic opening system through heatcontrole. he basic system (yp BG-) consists a double acrylic kydome, a enhanced PVC frame, a enhanced GRP curb with build-in Pneumatic opening mechanism. he basic system can be delivered with options for daily ventilation. Electrical with a motorspindle (yp BG-2) or Pneumatic if air compressor is available with auxiliary cylinder (yp BG-) or double stage cylinder (yp BG--DH). Also the HEV's system can be delivered complete electrical. he Pneumatic cylinder is than replaced by a 24V motorspindle (yp BG-E). his ype is often used in smaller rooms like staircases and can be used standard for daily ventilation. For the staircases we have also complete packages with all the peripherals (yp BG-E-P). IO-skydomes consist a inner and outer opal pmma shell with within a pc multiwall clear shell to guarantee a high insulation. Maintenance - kydomes must only be cleaned with a mild household detergent and lots of water. - kydomes must not come into contact with silicones, adhesives, solvents and bitumen (list of restrictions available). 2
