4 Ball Valves The Ball Valves serve as shutoff fittings in pipe systems. The operation is simple: In the fitting a ball serves as shutoff device, which opens and closes the fitting with a 90 degrees rotation. Low loss of flow can be reached because of the full passage (which means the inner diameter of the bore in the ball is equal to the inner diameter of the connected hose line). They seal through special sealing rings, which are fixed in between the ball and the housing.
