After view Traditionally many of our customers are looking forward to the last weekend of March, not only because of our spring auction but also to meet the spring.

Or was it because of our personal auction room without any time-consuming internet bidding?

In any case the weekend has been just fantastic and it has been great meeting so many excited visitors, whether a dealer, a collector, an exhibitor or just a curious spectator.

In this short text it is very difficult to highlight specific items, but we would just like to mention the earliest known cover with Icelandic stamps and the unique Swedish cover to Argentina with

You were not disappointed this time either as the springtime arrived at just the right time. Maybe this was the reason for the exhilarating atmosphere in the auction room? Or was it because of our personal auction room without any time-consuming internet bidding? Our much appreciated special viewings in the three Scandinavian capitals Stockholm, Copenhagen and Helsinki may also have been a contributing factor. In any case the weekend has been just fantastic and it has been great meeting so many excited visitors, whether a dealer, a collector, an exhibitor or just a curious spectator. As usual we recommend you to study the result list to familiarize yourself with the auction results. In this short text it is very difficult to highlight specific items, but we would just like to mention the earliest known cover with Icelandic stamps and the unique Swedish cover to Argentina with four different values from the first issue, which both sold for six figure amounts including the commission. Also worth mentioning is of course the lot with 61 different Chinese FDCs from the period from 1959 to 1964 that ended at twenty-eight times the starting price! After the third and final part of The Indriði Pálsson Large Gold Medal Collection of Classic Iceland it feels a little empty, especially as we now also have become personal friends with Indriði s family. But all good things must come to an end and it is nice to have more parts of The Gummesson Grand Prix d Honneur Collection of Finland to look forward to. Now we are preparing for FINLANDIA 2017 in Tampere May, the biggest stamp event in Europe this year. We strongly recommend that you visit and hope to see you there!
