3 Tools and machine in constant development This is where it all started. Developing and manufacturing special tools and machines for the electricity industry is what SAB Elteknik has been committed to since the start. Several of the products were originally developed in consultation with our customers Since then, they have been developed further and adapted to different power line and cable installations. The range is constantly being developed and expanded and we also provide new machines and tools for fibre-optics and industry. By partnering with suppliers of cable, lines and associated materials, we have full control from the get-go and are able to ensure that all the tools and machines are of the highest quality. Our task is then to provide added value through training courses and by developing methods for the end-users. A good example is the method for laying power cables long distances in SRS/SRE pipes. All pipes can be opened in the rear, enabling cable-laying with the plough still in the ground. Separate ducts for earth lead and markers is standard. Soft edges, conical guides and large bend radius secures the laying. The pipe with two ducts has a detachable dividing wall that can be removed to create a single duct. When ordering, state desired width W depending on the cable, ( mm inside measurement). The reel is intended for 50 mm markers (other widths available on request). Other models available on request. 45 Heating Heating tray The heating trays are laid directly on the ground where digging is to take place. The defrosting is complete within hours depending on soil type and frost penetration. The time can be shortened if you use soil or sand to insulate the gaps between the trays. It can be shortened further if you shovel away the defrosted earth after four hours and then continue the heating.
