1 Cox ay Guide Prior to event: Contact Cox ay property owners (resorts and residents) to share event and parking information. Resort parking lots are NOT available for event parking unless authorization from property has been granted. Through event advertising, encourage attendees to walk, bike, carpool or use the shuttle (if available) as alternative methods of transportation to the beach. Parking is NOT allowed on Pacific Rim Highway - except in the designated area by the Cox ay North parking lot turnoff. Parking is allowed in the following designated areas: Cox ay North (1431 Pac. Rim Hyway), Cox ay South (Maltby Road) and Cox ay Visitor Centre. If a flagging company has not been hired then event volunteers can have a presence in parking areas to assist attendees in finding appropriate parking in the public parking lots and/or on the correct side of the road. Only certified flaggers may direct traffic. Event volunteers should wear reflective vests and be able to communicate with the volunteers stationed at other parking lots via radio, phone, etc. Parking announcements, at various times throughout the event, are recommended to remind attendees that: No parking is allowed on the Pacific Rim Highway. Vehicles parked in no parking areas may be ticketed and/or towed. Cox ay North 1431 Pacific Rim Highway SEE MP Parking flag placed at parking lot entrance. Lot full board (directing guests to Maltby Road) placed in front of Long each Lodge Sign facing Highway once the lot becomes full. Traffic cones, barricades and No Parking board placed along the southbound shoulder of Pacific Rim highway. Direct overflow traffic to lots with remaining availability. Cox ay South Maltby Road SEE MP Parking flag placed at the corner of Maltby Road and Pacific Rim Highway Monitor parking to ensure parking lot space is maximized.

Note that parking is only permitted on one side of Howard Drive. Drivers should be mindful to not block driveways or vehicle travel lanes.
