10 Address the need for downtown customers: Provide free 2 hour/day parking for downtown customers (on designated spaces along Front Street, Regent Street, Albert Street, Sullivan Ave./Clairmont St. and Upper Front Street Lot/Market Sq. (Partial)) Proper signage / messaging for customers Enforcement to minimize abuse - violating vehicles will be ticketed and/or towed at owners expense Messaging to store owners seeking their cooperation in keeping on street parking for customers only (and they and their employees should parking at designated areas) 10

18 That the Parking Committee recommend to Council that pay and display parking machines be purchased. One machine to be located at the Albert Street Parking Lot (Lot 4) and the other at Market Square Parking Lot (Lot 2). That the Parking Committee recommend to Council that parking enforcement software be purchased to monitor parking and that additional resources be put in place as required. That the Parking Committee recommend to Council that additional parking signage be posted. That the Parking Committee recommend to Council that parking permits be issued for Lot 1 (Lower Front Street), Lot 3 (Albert Street Lot) and part of 2 (Market Square Lot). That the Parking Committee recommend to Council that additional illumination be installed in parking lots 1, 2 and 3. That the Parking Committee recommend to Council that parking permits be issued at a cost of $45.00 per month for lots 1, 2 and 3. 18
