2 INTRODUCTION Samples of deadweight anchor devices, in 6-point & 8-point types, were received by SATRA on 19 February 2008, for testing in accordance with for a class E device. Testing was carried out on 19 February 2008, in the presence of Mr Tony McMahon & Mr Andy McMahon of. CONCLUSIONS The samples of deadweight anchor devices, as received by SATRA on 19 February 2008, have been tested in accordance with for a class E device, and found to achieve the following requirements: SAMPLE / STANDARD REFERENCE (6-point) Asphalt roof surface Dynamic performance (6-point) Paving slabs roof surface Dynamic performance (6-point) Bitumen roof surface Dynamic performance (6-point) Stone chippings roof Dynamic performance surface 2 February 2010 (Page 2 of 4) Safety Product Centre

3 TEST RESULTS 4.2 General requirements for anchor devices REQUIREMENT Anchor device must accept the personal protective equipment and ensure that it is not possible for correctly connected personal protective equipment to become detached unintentionally RESULT / COMMENT Personal protective equipment attached to deadweight anchor device via closed loop on top of centre piece, thus detachment dependant on personal protective equipment only / Elements cannot appear to be correctly assembled without being positively locked together Incorrect assembly would be immediately obvious upon inspection Exposed edges or corners shall be relieved either with a radius of at least 0.5 mm or a 45º chamfer No rough or sharp edges in potential contact with user Dynamic performance All metallic parts shall comply with 4.4 of EN 362: 1992 corrosion protection When tested with a rigid steel mass of 100 kg, the test mass shall be arrested Not Roof type: Asphalt (wetted at Not Displacement, L, of the centre of mass of the deadweight anchor device shall not exceed 1 m Displacement, H, of the 100 kg mass shall not exceed 1 m after 3 minutes L = 0.95 m H = 0.95 m Roof type: Paving slabs (wetted at L = 0.36 m H = 0.39 m 2 February 2010 (Page 3 of 4) Safety Product Centre
