11 File E63614 Vol. 1 Sec. 25 Page 4 Issued: * Conditions of Acceptability: 1. A suitable enclosure should be provided for these devices in the end-product. 2. The relay terminals are not suitable for field wiring. The relay terminals are to be factory wired only and the suitability of the connection (including spacings between factory connectors) shall be determined. 3. These devices should be used within its Recognized rating as specified above. 4. Model FTR-K1CK012W was tested to cover the 20 A, 277 V ac resistive rating at 75 C for all FTR-K1CA(#1)W, FTR-K1CK(#1)W, FTR-K1AA(#1)T, and FTR-K1AK(#1)T models. The test was conducted in a 4.5 by 2.5 by 2 in (114 by 63.5 by 51 mm) single-gang junction box. A temperature test in the end product should be considered if using these devices at 20 A in a smaller enclosure in a 75 C ambient. 5. Dust cover has not been evaluated as an insulating barrier. Consideration should be given in the end-use application with regards to spacing requirements to uninsulated live parts.

12 File E63614 Vol. 1 Sec. 25 Page 5 Issued: CONSTRUCTION DETAILS: USR Indicates these devices were evaluated in accordance with the requirements in the UL Standard for Safety of Industrial Control Equipment, UL 508. CNR Indicates FTR-K1L series were evaluated in accordance with the requirements in the Canadian Standard, CAN/CSA C22.2 No.14-10, Industrial Control Equipment, 11th Edition with revisions through April 1, These devices employ a Class F insulation system. Model Differences The only difference between -MA and -MB is the pitch of the terminals (-MA: 3.5 mm, -MB: 5.0 mm). All other construction and materials used are identical to each other. See ILL. 7 for more details. The product shall be constructed in accordance with the following description: 1. Spacings - Spacings of not less than 1/8 inch, 3.2 mm, through-air and 1/4 inch, 6.4 mm, measured over-surface of insulating materials, including printed wiring boards, are maintained between any uninsulated live part and an uninsulated live part of opposite polarity, uninsulated grounded part other than the enclosure or exposed metal part. 2. Corrosion Protection - All parts are of corrosion resistant material or are plated or painted. 3. Marking Ink-stamped label, recognized trade name and model number.
