First entered service on the Yosemite Valley Railroad on April 1, 1908 with a combination car and coach also built by Hicks. The car s last service on the Yosemite Valley was a fan trip on May 30, Car was moved to the Yreka Western Railroad and in the late 1940 s the trucks were removed and car remodeled into a popular restaurant called The Diner. In May of 1986 the car was moved to the City of Yreka Corporation yard where the car was eventually purchased for $1.00 by Wes and Claudia Swift for restoration. Car moved on August 24, 1995 to Morgan Hill for restoration including replacement of 3 main stringers, replacing most of the roof structure, and all the exterior siding. In March of 2005 the car was moved to Niles Canyon Railway and put back on its trucks. First public operation was during NCRy Steamfest on March 17, On May 15, 2007, the car celebrated the Yosemite Valley Railroad s 100 year anniversary in the company of the YV 107 RPO/Baggage.
