What an exciting time to be in the cattle industry! With record-high prices, every pound of gain is putting more dollars in your pocket. That s why using Simmental and SimAngus bulls and females in your herd will help meet that demand. We feel we have a select group of bulls to improve your bottom line. The bulls were weaned on the 8th of October and started on a complete mixed ration consisting of corn, protein pellet, silage and chopped hay, working up to a 52 MegaCal Ration and at no point were pushed harder. The majority of this year s bulls are out of first-calf heifers. We feel that this is a great testament to our dedication for improving our genetics to bring you a better bull to add in your program. Here at Kuhn s Red Angus that has always been our strategy which you can see in the sires that we purchase, our AI program, and also the embryo program we have. This year we sent five bulls from the middle of our program to Midland Test Station to see how our bulls perform against other Red Angus Bulls. The Red Angus bulls averaged 2.7 lbs.-per-day gain and 100 ratio on feed efficiency. Our Red Angus bulls were able to gain 3 lbs. a day with a 111 ratio on feed efficiency. Which means our bulls ate less and gained more. We feel the strength of our program depends on our ability to provide you with exceptional cattle. Your success is our success. If a bull is tested as a non-breeder, the seller has 180 days before making an adjustment. If the bull is declared a sound breeder by a competent veterinarian he will be returned to the buyer at the buyers expense. If case an adjustment is required, we will refund the purchase price or provide credit towards the purchase of another bull. We will discount $50.00 per bull taken home by the customer on sale day. After May 8th a $2.50 per-day feed cost will be charged. All Sales are in the U.S dollar. Each animal is to be sold to the highest bidder. The auctioneer shall settle any disputes as to bids. All cattle are to be paid for by the purchaser during or immediately after the sale and will not be removed until after settlement has been made unless prior arrangements have been made with Kuhn s Red Angus or Crosshair Simmental.
