The machine is built in a robust construction, independently and with a single-phase engine for its use.

It is provided of guides that ensure the alignment of the brush with a superior plate of the machine, making only as a fixing, a small pressure of a manual drive.

7 MOTORIZED NOTCHER To make proper notches in U and V in the different samples Charpy and Izod this machine was designed. It is provided with a cutting brush of multiple teeth to effectuate a fast and clean preparation of test samples. The machine is built in a robust construction, independently and with a single-phase engine for its use. The cutting brush is mounted over a trolley which is moved by a patron screw along all the stroke. It is provided of guides that ensure the alignment of the brush with a superior plate of the machine, making only as a fixing, a small pressure of a manual drive. It has a gradual stop to ensure the positioning of the notch in all the samples and a stop screw to fix the end of the notch. It has limit fixer in each end of the stroke of the machine, using the unique command for the starting-up of the cutter inversion and its stop. It can make notches in square samples of 10 mm according to the standard EN and ASTM E23. The dimensions of the machine are 381 mm x 381 mm x 1120 mm. The cutting tool is guided through a square section which moves downwards through the main unit in the interior of the machine with a mechanic zip that slides upwards and downwards when a wheel is turned. This notcher is very easy to use and simple to maintain. It makes in a very short period many notches in V and U in samples for Charpy and Izod test by a cutting brush of multiple teeth according to EN and ASTM standard.
