2 Building stronger Texas businesses The 2018 AEM Business Forum in partnership with the Texas Governor s office had over 280 registered attendees and 46 special guests that were involved as moderators, speakers and/or panelists. This has been the most important annual event organized by AEM Austin. The forum brought together people from different countries like Mexico, Venezuela, Nicaragua and of course, USA; with a variatey of backgrounds & industries, including Texas business owners, entrepreneurs, innovators, community leaders, C-level executives, government representatives, as well as high ranking government officials, in the capital of the lone star state for a comprehensive event focused on strengthening business relations, trade, NAFTA, access to capital, and business development in order to promote business growth in the great state of Texas.

15 MOU signed between TAB & AEM During the AEM Business Forum 2018, the Texas Association of Business (TAB) and Asociación de Empresarios Mexicanos (AEM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote programs an activities that increase the economic opportunities for Texas business enterprises and Mexican entrepreneurs doing business and contributing to the Texas economy. This alliance is designed to foster the growth and global competitiveness of Texas firmas, create new jobs, and bolster the exports of goods and services between Texas and Mexico.

16 +$2.9K for AEM Non Profit fund As part of AEM s commitment to our community, net proceeds of this event will be destined to AEM Non-Profit Program. Non profit activities include: Scholarships for hispanic students in need financial aid for college tuition. Mentorship & financial aid to hispanic owned startups. Educational programs (computer skills, accounting, finance) to under privileged adults. 17 Message from AEM Austin President The 2018 AEM Business Forum in partnership with the Texas Governor s office is over, but AEM s commitment with the business community is an ongoing effort. It has been a great privilege for all of us at AEM to have had such an amazing event. This could not have been possible without our sponsors, volunteers & donors; as well as the partner organizations, AEM Board Members, and all the 280+ attendees. We also thank our great speakers, moderators & panelists who kindly shared with us the most valuable assets: time, expertise and entushiasm. It was a day full with diverse & interesting topics on trade, how to do business in Texas and entrepreneurship, among others. AEM Austin s commitment to our community is also an important part of the event and I am very happy to announce that we raised over $2.9k for our AEM Non-Profit Program.
