20 FromR&D tomarket Fuel cell systems have the highest efficiency potential of all cogeneration technologies. In principle, fuel cell heating appliances can be installed in all residential buildings with a gas connection. Fuel cells are suitable for a variety of uses. The market entry of fuel cell heating appliances is very close. The first devices are ready for the market in 2013 and will be available in subsequent years for a mass market. Due to low quantities, the costs of fuel cell heating appliances are currently higher than those of conventional technologies. Therefore a political support is required in the initial phase. Necessary steps: Political support for the market launch and removing barriers Oktober 2013 EnBW Vertrieb GmbH I Markus Edel
