Our friendly service team will pamper you with a wonderful selection of food and beverages. Of course, our compartment wait staff can also bring snacks and beverages right to you in your compartment. And in the morning we look forward to seeing you at breakfast in the restaurant car. You ll find the current menu and beverages list Your pet can travel with you. A dog or cat can come along if you book a compartment for your sole use. There will be an additional cleaning charge of euro per compartment. Unfortunately, pets are not permitted in the restaurant car. We request that you keep your dog on a leash when outside your compartment. If on your trip you require assistance embarking or disembarking a lift for your wheelchair, for instance, please let us know when you book. Our autoracks are designed so that your vehicle and luggage are transported securely. For this reason, there are a few rules, certain vehicle specifications (length, roof width, height, weight, etc.) to be observed: ROOF LUGGAGE RACKS RULES FOR YOUR LUGGAGE The open autoracks travel at speeds of up to 160 km/h, which is why your roof luggage racks and baggage need to be secure. You ll find the vehicle dimensions and information on kerb weight in your vehicle registration. The roof width is to be measured again individually. Please make sure that the vehicle information you provide during booking is correct. Any deviations could make it impossible to load your vehicle. Roof width: The upper roof width including any mounted structures must not exceed 1.35 m or 1.55 m, depending on the vehicle type. Unfortunately, we cannot transport vehicles with a roof width of more than 1.55 m. In the case of roof luggage/roof boxes, please measure the width of the luggage/box at its highest point. Weight: Our vehicle transport cars have a maximum loading weight for each loading level. That s why it s absolutely essential for us to know the kerb weight of your vehicle. Height (incl. any mounted structures): Small and midsize vehicles, saloons and station wagons up to 2.05 m in height Off-road vehicles, SUVs, vans up to 1.96 m in height Vehicles with trailers, motorcycles up to 1.58 m in height. In the case of roof luggage/roof luggage racks, please measure the height at the highest point. Please observe the following: You can transport permanently mounted, secured and locked roof boxes and bike racks on or at your vehicle as well as motorcycle bags if all specified loading dimensions are complied with. Other items as well as magnetic boxes cannot be transported on the roof of the vehicle. Surfboards and lightweight boats can also be transported if affixed next to the vehicle if they are specified prior to booking. It is permitted to transport a reserve petrol canister in the vehicle with max. 20 litres. Motorcycles are not permitted to transport even empty canisters. Up to maximum 1.55 m at the highest point.

8 EXCERPT FROM THE CONDITIONS OF CARRIAGE FOR THE USE OF BTE AUTOREISEZUG. Signs are provided which will lead you directly to the terminal. If you use a navigation system, just enter the terminal address. Terminal Hamburg: Präsident-Krahn-Straße, Hamburg-Altona Terminal Lörrach: Bahnhofstraße 1b, Lörrach (Güterbahnhof) Term How to get to the terminal Check-in and loading Check-in begins approximately 90 minutes before departure. It s sufficient if you arrive at the beginning of the loading time specified. Please have your ticket and vehicle registration ready to present. Before driving onto the vehicle transport car, you must retract the antenna or unscrew it, take out any luggage you need for the train trip and have all passengers leave the vehicle. Our terminal staff will then show you where and how to put your vehicle on the transport car. The place you are assigned depends on the vehicle dimensions. Once you are in position, please turn off the alarm system, lock your vehicle and check that all luggage is secured 1. Scope of validity; preliminary remark The Conditions of Carriage for the use of BTE AutoReiseZug (BTE ARZ BB) apply to the conveyance of persons and their vehicles with and without a trailer as well as motorcycles with and without a sidecar and trikes as well as quads for travel within Germany. BTE AutoReiseZug provides for the conveyance of vehicles with and without a trailer as well as motorcycles with and without a sidecar and trikes as well as quads in train cars on rails from the loading terminal to the destination terminal. 2. Object and conclusion of the Carriage Agreement As a result of the Carriage Agreement, BTE GmbH, as the contractually agreed conveyor, undertakes the transport of travellers and their vehicle to the agreed upon place of destination. The content of this Agreement is documented in the tickets and reservation documents (carriage documents) issued by the conveyor. The carriage documents consist at minimum of a ticket for the vehicle to be transported and for the person(s) to be transported. The ticket(s) for the person(s) may be supplemented by reservation documents for accommodation on the train. In the case of booking at a manned sales office, the Agreement goes into effect upon partial payment of the services booked and issue of the booking confirmation and partial payment receipt. If the services booked are paid for in full immediately, the Agreement goes into effect upon payment and issue of the carriage documents. (...) 3. Carriage documents The carriage documents are not given to the customer until payment in full of the amount of the ticket price and are to be presented at the request of the staff of BTE GmbH at any time. The term of validity of the carriage documents arises from the reservation data specified in the documents. Reservations are only valid on the specified date of travel for the train booked and/or vehicle transport booked (...) The carriage document contains the reservation details (type of accommodation booked (couchette or sleeper car) and vehicle information) (...) In the case of online booking, the Agreement goes into effect with the electronic confirmation of the successful booking via . Partial payment is not possible in the case of online purchase. Payment in full is due immediately. The carriage documents are issued to the ordering party in PDF format in a separate . (...) Online carriage documents are person-specific and non-transferrable. Due to the technical specifics of the Internet, the availability of all booking modules cannot be ensured at all times. (...) In the case of booking via the BTE ARZ customer service, the Agreement goes into effect with the confirmation of the successful booking. Partial payment is not possible in the case of purchase via the BTE ARZ customer service. Payment in full is due immediately. (...) 8. Cancellations and booking changes The traveller is entitled to terminate the Carriage Agreement at any time up to the commencement of the journey. The cancellation notification is to be made to BTE GmbH or to the authorized sales office and must be in writing. In the case of cancellation, appropriate compensation is required for the arrangements made and efforts undertaken. The receipt of the declaration of withdrawal is definitive for calculation of the cancellation fee. In the case of two or more journeys (e.g. outward and return journey), the day of the correspondingly booked journey is decisive for determination of the deadline. (...) Cancellation is excluded starting from 3 days prior to the corresponding travel date. The ticket price will be reimbursed in full in return for the issued carriage documents only if the traveller cannot undertake the journey for reasons for which BTE GmbH is liable. For cancellations or changes to tickets subject to special price offers, the different conditions specified in the corresponding appendix apply. (...) Booking changes involving the day of travel and/or route of travel can be made once up to 7 days before the booked journey is to begin provided that places are available for the alternative travel date. For a booking change, a processing charge in the amount of 30 euro applies for each route. Other changes as well as failure to embark on the journey or withdrawal are treated as a cancellation. (...) Changing an existing booking at the normal price to a booking of special price offers is excluded. (...) 13. Liability for vehicles For the liability arising from the conveyance of vehicles, the provisions of CIV in the version of Annex I to Regulation (EC) 1371/2007 of the European Parliament and the Council of 23 October 2007 on rail passengers rights and obligations apply. This applies to compensation for delayed loading or shipment as well as other liability incidents. 14. Electronic data processing BTE GmbH collects, saves and processes person-specific data for the purpose of implementing the Agreement and for customer support in accordance with the provisions of the German data Protection Act (BDSG). 16. Applicable law; place of jurisdiction For carriage within Germany, the provisions of German law apply. BTE GmbH provides all services as per the conditions specified. If the Carriage Agreement is concluded with a businessperson within the scope of his/her commercial trade, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Nuremberg.
