2 From Clean Sky towards Clean Sky 2 Systems ITD follows and expands Clean Sky SGO activities Management of Trajectory and mission will be included in wider, more integrated cockpit & mission demonstrations (and in landing gear WP for SOG) Management of Aircraft Energy will carry on in WPs dedicated to innovative wing, electrical chain, new activities will address other issues in aircraft power management. Demonstrators and test rigs used in Clean Sky will be continued in Clean Sky 2 and completed with new integration environments. Systems ITD will focus on demonstration and tight integration with IADPs. Systems ITD IADPs TRL up to 5 5/6
3 High-level Objectives Direct contributions to environmental objectives: CO 2 emissions, fuel consumption, perceived noise, air quality, weight gain. Optimized green trajectories, electrical taxiing, more electrical aircraft approach, etc. Enablers for major innovations: innovative engines, new aircraft configurations. power generation, innovative power conversion & distribution, more electrical loads, embedded systems V2+10 Take off rating Speed limit (250kt) Climb rating ECO SPD RAMP THR ECO SPD ECO N1 V2+10 ECO N1 THRust REDuction altitude ECO Take Off End ALTitude ACCELeration altitude
4 High-level Objectives Enablers for air transport system optimisation: SESAR, NextGen and Clean Sky for greening, improved mobility or ATS efficiency data link, advanced weather systems, trajectory negotiation, and flight mgt predictive capabilities. Smart answers to market demands: increase of intrinsic performance to meet new aircraft needs without a corresponding increase in weight and volume kw/kg, flux/dm3 are key indicators of systems innovation; competitiveness is at stake.
