5 Compression & Leakdown Test Adapter Kit This kit is used to perform compression & leakdown tests on ISV5.0 CM3230 series engines. Injectors must be removed and tools secured with injector hold downs. Due to become available November 2014 Next

6 Oil Cooler Leak Test Kit This kit is used to pressure test the oil coolers on ISV5.0 CM3230 series engines. Used with air pressure regulator kit (not included) Due to become available November 2014 Next

7 New Connector Strategy Service Tools is introducing a new harness repair connector strategy for all connectors with 10 or fewer terminals. Moving forward, all new connectors we release will be pigtails, which will consist of plastic connector bodies assembled with proper terminals, wedgelocks (if applicable), seals, wires and splices. We will not be releasing any new pieces & parts types of connectors where the technician must order the connector body, the wedgelock and the terminal/wire assemblies separately and must assemble them. Existing pieces & parts will remain available for some time, but will eventually be obsoleted. New engines will only have pigtails assigned in the Electrical Connector Database. Eventually, old engines will have their pieces & parts assignments removed and replaced with pigtails in the Electrical Connector Database. The strategy for connectors with more than 10 terminals will continue to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. The first new engines making exclusive use of the pigtail only strategy will be the ISV series of engines. New connectors for these engines are populated in the Electrical Connector Database and are due to become available for purchase in November Next

8 New Splice Strategy Service Tools is introducing a new wire repair strategy utilizing low temperature solder splices in place of crimp splices. These splices use low temperature, focused heat to melt the solder and create a more robust mechanical connection than crimping. The heat used to melt the solder also simultaneously shrinks the heat shrink tubing included in the splice, creating a weather-proof connection in one step. Splices are lead free & ROHS compliant. Recommended to use butane micro torch kit P/N (available separately or as part of general electrical solder splice kit P/N ) for the solder splices. Moving forward, all new connectors we release will contain low temperature solder splices. Additionally, the new splices will be available in the general electrical solder splice kit P/N for retrofit of older wiring harness repair components and general use. Service Training will be putting together a formalized training packet in the near future, and will include instruction in future classes. Refer to the following slides for familiarization. Next

9 General Electrical Solder Splice Kit This kit includes everything needed to utilize the new solder splice wire repair method. Butane micro torch kit P/N of splice P/N (12-14 AWG). 10 Plug Fitting Kit This kit is used to seal the sensor ports of the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), to allow effective cleaning when using the Particulate Filter Cleaner for ISV series engines. Due to become available January 2015 Next

11 Engine Barring Tool This tool is used for barring the QSF2.8 CM2880 F105 engines with REPTO options. Due to become available January VGT Actuator Travel Gage This gage is used to verify VGT travel on QSB4.5 CM2350 series engines. Due to become available January 2015

If you receive this dialog box, be sure the radio button is next to Open this file and then click OK.
