4 4 About Us IHS Infrarot Heizsysteme Ltd. is an Austrian company based in Hartberg. IHS specialises in the production of high quality infrared heating units, its leading position in the market defined by the optimum materials used and the meticulous workmanship involved in the production of Redwell heating panels. High specification, impressive performance, efficiency and flexibility are central to all Redwell products. IHS has a modern, up-to-date production facility which ensures a high rate of output. IHS is also a highly innovative company which has succeeded in bringing together practicality, efficiency and good design. Innovation and development are regarded as absolute priorities by the IHS management team and new products are constantly being designed. Sales are facilitated via a network of independent partners who work exclusively with specialist dealers, architects, interior designers and top-ofthe-range design studios. Company Objective Our objective is to develop first-class solutions and to implement them to a sufficiently high standard to satisfy the needs and expectations of our customers This demands a high level of precision in the manufacturing process and is achieved through experienced workmanship and modern industrial production methods, combined with the teamwork and expertise of highly-qualified staff and cutting-edge technology. The long-term usability and efficiency of Redwell heating units remain absolutely central to design and development. Off-the-peg designs are just not good enough, and it is for this reason that IHS develops and produces heating units of the highest quality and specification. IHS heating units can be used in a wide range of situations and it is this flexibility which has proven advantageous to our customers for heating new buildings, as part of a renovation project or as a supplementary heating system.

5 5 Company History 1998 First contact with Russian produced infrared units. Sale of drying units for the construction industry under the former company name WLL Russian manufacture ceases. Beginning of the development of an infrared heating unit in garage at home. Cooperation with GSF Institute for Ecology and Health in Munich Re-location from garage to former carpenter s workshop. First moulds produced. Experiments with bonding materials First heating unit leaves production line for sale. Production moves to Hartberg. Production line with two employees Expansion into Workshop 3. Expansion of warehouse space for materials.new office complex. Opening of fully-equipped showroom as a display area for heating units and as sales office for distributors Quality is our top priority; QM system put in place. Certification by CSA for UL,ISO,EN ISO9001:2000 and 1400:2004. Expansion into Workshop 4 (increase in production capacity with new machinery). First sales in USA, Canada and Mexico. Sales in more than 20 countries with annual sales in excess of 15,000 units Development of frameless mirrors and multi-function heating systems Production moves to Ökopark Hartberg. Adaption to accommodate specially developed adhesives. Serial production and expansion of product range. WLL name changed to IHS Infrarot Heizsysteme Ltd. TÜV product and production-line certification. IHS logo registered as a trademark Expansion into Workshop 2. New logo (Redwell). Marketing campaign. Trademark and sample protection. 6 6 How do Infrared Waves heat? How is it that the heat from the sun travels millions of miles through ice-cold space and yet still warms us here on earth? The reason behind this phenomenon is electromagnetic waves below the red spectrum of visible light (lat.: infra). These electromagnetic waves cause molecules to oscillate, releasing an energy which is felt as warmth. Unlike shorter waves such as X-rays, for example, infrared waves have a very positive, beneficial effect on humans. Redwell units use the same principle and are therefore an ideal source of warmth.

7 7 The Difference is in the Air Unlike conventional systems, Redwell heating units heat the walls, ceilings and furnishings and not the air itself. Walls retain heat much longer than air and return warmth to the room. They stay dry, giving mould and mildew no chance to spread. A further advantage lies in the fact that there is no circulation of the air, therefore no dust is raised. 8 8 Nothing else has the Flexibility of Redwell A major advantage of an Infrared heating system is that it saves large amounts of energy. Additional and equally impressive advantages are easy and flexible installation, lifelong maintenance-free operation, and good design. The heating units can be installed on walls or ceilings, using concealed brackets. All you need is a power socket.

The frame can be ordered in aluminium, wood or white. Our product line includes a wide choice of designs which, through ongoing research and development, continues to grow and expand.

10 10 Infrared is Wellness Warmth We humans have evolved with the capacity to absorb infrared heat, which in turn has a beneficial effect on our immune system. Infrared waves warm us from the inside out. Our products have a TÜV and IGEF certification as low electrosmog and are absolutely safe. (
