The Community of Yesteryear Charles, Calvert, & St. Mary s County are generally considered Southern Maryland. In years past, residents made a living growing tobacco or working the waters of the Chesapeake. Although still somewhat rural in nature, the area is now an outer suburb of Washington, D.C.

The Community of Today Southern Maryland has experienced a tremendous growth in population in the last 20 years. According to the U.S. Census, over 349,000 residents live in the tri-county region. Statewide, residents have a median household income of $72,999 but in Southern Maryland, incomes are substantially higher, ranging from $85,672 in St. Mary s County to $95,477 in Calvert County and $93,160 in Charles County (source U.S. Census). Though the total population may be small compared to other parts of the state, there s money in Southern MD!

The Economic Driver & the Price Area Residents Pay Thousands of jobs tied to the federal government dominate the local economy. To get to those jobs, area residents face long daily commutes. According to U.S. Census figures published in the 10/15/10 edition of the MD Independent (a division of the Washington Post) commuters in Charles County endure the longest daily commute in the nation (43 minutes).! Neighboring Calvert County commuters face a 39 minute commute. Drive times nationally average just 25 minutes.! Traffic congestion is generally not a good thing unless you are in the business of Transit Advertising.

Southern Maryland s Media Market! No TV Stations Are Based In Southern Maryland (D.C. stations are up to 60 miles away).! Four Local Newspapers Publish Only Once or Twice A Week.! Local Radio Stations Do Not Offer In-Depth Traffic Reports Needed By Commuters Bound For D.C and Cater Only To Listeners of Rock & Country Formats. No Local Stations Have An Urban Format Even Though 43% Of The Population In Charles County, MD Is African-American.

Why Transit?! A large percentage of the workforce uses public transportation daily to ease their commute. These vehicles shuttle individuals throughout the greater D.C. area and within the counties where they live, work and play. Our "mobile billboards" are seen by tens of thousands of individuals each and every day and offer a unique form of Advertising that is cost efficient and effective.! Sayin It Loud aims to showcase the benefits and value that Transit Advertising can provide to your business. We CAN make consumers think about your brand when they have no other reason to do so.

What We Offer - Regional Service to Downtown D.C. Sayin It Loud offers signage on the Keller, Coach USA/Coach USA/Dillon's & Martz motorcoaches (bus service under contract with the MD MTA). The routes begin in Waldorf, La Plata, St. Leonard s, California, Charlotte Hall, Columbia, Ellicott City, Annapolis and Kent Island, MD. Among the roads covered on these routes is U.S. 301, MD Routes 4,5, 29,50, 210 & I-95/495 (D.C. Beltway).

Billboards Mobile or Static? Billboards locally cost between $5,000 - $15,000 per month for a total of $60,000 - $180,000 per year. Note too that Charles, Calvert & St. Mary s County, MD zoning regulations have banned all highway billboards other than the older existing locations. The choice seems simple. Advertising on a VanGo or STS bus is like having a billboard that moves around the county at a fraction of the cost of a traditional billboard.

Mobile Your Best Option Charles County, MD VanGo Sayin It Loud offers wraps and smaller signs on VanGo buses (operated by the Charles County Department of Community Services). The routes connect the communities of Waldorf, La Plata, Newburg, Namjemoy, Charlotte Hall, St. Charles and Brandywine. Our buses often use U.S. Route 301(Crain Highway), one of the primary north/south connectors to D.C. and Baltimore. U.S. Route 301 handles over 18 million vehicles per year!

Mobile Your Best Option St. Mary s County, MD - STS Sayin It Loud acquired the Advertising Rights to the STS system in March of The routes connect the communities of Leonardtown, Lexington Park, Hollywood, California and Charlotte Hall. Primary roads include Routes 5 and 235. According to the MD State Highway Administration, daily traffic at its peak on Rt. 235 reaches over 59,000 vehicles per day.
