12 12 Conclusions Trivia Energy efficiency and integration of renewables are a key for GHG mitigation. Smart grids are a must to follow the transition path to a modern electricity grid. (Not yet invented or built) Innovative ICT is the key-enabler of the smart grid. Strong efforts in the ICT domain are to be made to address the key challenges. More Conclusions Comprehensive R+D activities are necessary. Only engagement in partnerships in this field creates enough knowledge. Intensify your nations efforts in the standardization process
