6 R&D Priority for FP7-ICT WP 2009/10 Joint EC/EPoSS Expert Workshop 2008 Smart Systems for the Full Electric Vehicle June 2008 Brussels EPoSS Strategy Paper Smart systems enabling the full electrical vehicle: by providing aware, caring and robust means of power and energy routing between accumulator cells, battery packs, motors and grids, by applying adaptive control and power electronic converters to electric motors and wheels, and by actively enhancing the safety of road transport based on batteries and lightweight vehicles. The focus shall be on breakthroughs in efficiency, complexity management and cost reduction
