As an administrator of MoUD, following activities have been initiated Capacity Building SUTP- Key activities involved are: Development of Toolkits 4 new toolkits developed in last 1 year Training of City Officials 8 training programs held since January 2015 wherein about 250 middle and senior level city officials have been trained. UMI- Special Session on Smart Mobility for Smart Cities: for Ministers in UMI, 2014 and Working on Special Session Challenges in Implementing Mobility in Smart Cities for UMI th to 27 th November, 2015, New Delhi..

Key features of cycle sharing systems A dense network of stations across the coverage area, with a spacing of approximately 300 m between stations for access within 2-min walk Cycles with specially designed parts and sizes to discourage theft A fully automated locking system at stations that allows users to check cycles in or out with no need for staffing at the station Radio frequency identification devices (RFIDs) to track where a cycle is picked up, where it is returned, and the identity of the user Real-time monitoring of station occupancy rates through General Packet Radio Service (GPRS), used to guide the redistribution of cycles Real-time user information provided through various platforms, including the web, mobile phones, and/or on-site terminals Pricing structures that incentivise short trips, helping to maximize the number of trips per cycle per day. Analysing remedial measures for urban transport problems in cities. Smoother approvals of proposals relating to urban transport solutions, with better understanding of the problem.
