6 Strategic Transport Plan (STP) for Dhaka Vision To develop and maintain a sustainable multi modal transportation system, serving the mobility needs of society Objective To guide the development of Transportation infrastructure of greater Dhaka over the next 20 years. 19 Challenges ahead Strong political backing (Introduce new mobility culture,negotiation with existing operators and resettlement issues) Integration with other modes(interchange at major bus stop) Need citywide network not one corridor Strong policy support( Parking, land use) and Inclusiveness Traffic management during construction and Meeting public criticism
