Heritage 50 years History of Italian passion and innovation 1967 Aldo and Luigi Baron, establish Raniero Carrelli s 36 tonne capacity forklift trucks along with 2 and 4 wheel drive off-road models The 1.5 to 36 tonne thermal forklift ranges are completed with the development of an Electric Forklift Truck, part of the RE (Raniero Elettronics) ranges, with a capacity of up to 3.5 tonnes. 1989: The birth of the NRE product line completing the range of forklift trucks from 1.5 to 6 tonnes End 90 The construction of the new Head Quarter is completed in January 2001 with an overall area of 6,000 sqm, of which 3,000 sqm are covered The first AC powered forklift truck prototype appears, initially as a one-motor forklift truck. In 2004 a bi-motor forklift truck is designed with AC drive technology. The range of models expands adding 6 tonne models. AC Technology Advantages AC Technology not only allows to cover the machine s initial cost difference between Electric and Gas/Diesel machines, but it is also able to pay back the entire investment costs within 5 years thanks to the lower forklift management costs. The advantages of the AC Motor Electric Forklifts include : - Performance comparable to internal combustion forklifts - Less energy consumption (thus less battery capacity lower battery cost) - Longer maintenance intervals with significantly lower maintenance costs - Halving daily energy cost - Less pollution, it means 98% less than the Internal Combustion Motors. Starting from October 2014, in EU all forklift motors will have to be equipped with an expensive posttreatment SCR anti-particulate filter of the exhaust gas that will increase the buying price of diesel forklift trucks, filling the current buying price gap. Another setback for the clients who keep using traditional technology is that the machine will have to be stopped during the working day to regenerate the anti particulate filters, further increasing the machine management costs. We foresee that, starting from 2015, in the EU the percentage of sold electric forklifts will be close to 100,0% (now the percentage is 75%)

7 4. Distribution Raniero Carrelli diesel petrol/lp and electric powered forklift trucks, with a capacity of 1.5 to 35 tonnes, are now working in Italy, EU and Extra EU Markets.
