At the same time, the cold start emissions as well as the ozone reactive or toxic exhaust gas components can be very low. This is an important benefit for meeting future emission legislations with today s technology. In future, mixtures of natural gas, pre-processed biogas and fossil energy free produced hydrogen could be a vision of a new green fuel. It can be assumed, that a large amount of that will have to be met by biofuels of the 1 st generation. Still, a number of questions remain to be discussed amongst producers and users of biofuels, amongst polticians and investors. The following technical and political topics will be discussed in the workshop: Which biofuels are at hand to meet the quota within the next few years? What technological progress will be made in good time? What is necessary to establish the European requirements in national or regional frameworks? Best practice retrofit installation Converting vehicles to operate on natural gas got a popular way to try out alternatives to combustion engines. To realise a conversion many aspects has to be checked: Conversion system availability, the total costs as well as tax issues.
