2 TEKA was the first company to certify central suction and filter units, such as the unit ZPF 9H that is presented here. On a whole we are very proud of our growing number of certified units. The BGIA certificate is awarded by the German Institute for Occupational Safety and Health and a couple of our units have this certificate for the highest welding fumes class available (W3). Welding fume category W3 means that our units are able to reliably extract and clean low, medium and high alloyed steels, e.g. containing a part of nickel and chrome of 30 % and more with a separation efficiency of more than 99 %. The units are certified according to the international effective standard DIN EN ISO that controls industrial and health protection for welding and related processes and the requirements, examination and identification of air cleaning systems. At the moment, our range of units contains further stationary or central units certified with the BGIA seal: CARTMASTER for wall mounting, the FILTERCUBE 2N 4H. In addition, three mobile units are certified: CAREMASTER, CLEANMASTER and STRONGMASTER.

4 4 BGIA-certified central suction and filter systems ZPF 9H central suction and filter unit Universal and certified: The ZPF 9H offers solutions for various suction tasks for several working places at the same time regarding tasks with non alloyed metals and precious metals, with galvanized material and aluminium. Especially appropriate for higher amounts of air. Description The central, self-dedusting cartridge filter system cleans the polluted air that is guided by a suction element suitable for practical application through a specially designed ducting system. The filter unit is BGIA-certified according to DIN EN ISO (test certificate: /1140). The separation efficiency is 99 %. The unit corresponds to the security requirements for units of the welding fume category W3 (high alloyed steels). The filter cartridges are precoated by a special filter medium. This procedure considerably increases the lifetime compared to standard filter cartridges. The combination of PULSE-CONTROL steering and POWER-SPRAY-System guarantees a very high dedusting performance of the filter cartridges in order to ensure an optimal suction performance during operation although the dedusting pressure is very low. The unit is appropriate to indoor and outdoor assembly. Several filter modules can be connected in series. The modular construction allows extending the unit at any time in order to achieve larger filter surfaces. It is possible to return the filtered air into the working space which means a considerable save of heating costs especially in winter. In summer, the extracted air can also be guided outside. 5 5 The certificate: BGIA /1140 BGIA-certified according DIN EN ISO (Health and safety in welding and related processes requirements, examination and designation of air cleaning systems) Importance of the BGIA-certificate Generally, every suction and filter unit in the CrNi-treating field has to be reported to the industrial safety department and has to be individually approved (protection level 4, according to the german hazardous substances ordinance). The BGIA-certificate omits the individual approval. Besides, the air circulation operation is admissive during the heating period according to the german TRGS 560 which can imply high heating costs savings: For m³/h these are several thousands Euro of heating costs a year.
