3 VMS PURPOSE LE BUT - VMS This patrol boat provides increased surveillance of the entry into territorial water by the introduction of loading controls whose in situ analyses identify and classify transported products. The concept allows for: A. Rapid identification of transported waste; B. Rapidly identifying the author of the discharge thanks to the chemical signature of the samples; C. Sorting of waste for treatment; D. Setting of the retreatment unit.

4 VMS L UTILISATION USE - VMS As part of our own commitments, we have expressed our determination through the development of a rapid analysis patrol boat which, thanks to its chromatographic laboratory, is able to analyse ten different samples in less than two hours. The analyses allows for the chemical mapping of the samples and also to determine in real-time the feasibility of the retreatment. Therefore, we have selected for our VMS: - A rapid intervention at a given point to collect samples for analysis. - A portable laboratory for chromatographic analyses used to segregate, identify and quantify components that are difficult to be analysed - A significant sample analyse capacity despite the portability of the laboratory. - An AIS (automatic identification system) radar - A GPS and card reader - A computer with a map for positioning and recording of the situation in the area - An HD day/night video camera on-board - Satellite communication - A meteorological receiver - An automatic pilot - A marine VHF and nautical safety equipment - A portable VHF - An air conditioner

7 VMS - INTEGRATED LABORATORY Based on the chromatographic technique using quartz threads, designed and developed to specifically analyse agrofuel molecules, lipid classes and the constituents of bitumen (chromatography with detection by flame ionisation.

8 VMS - CONCLUSION - VMS The VMS patrol boat is an indispensable tool for active preservation of the environment. By its unremarked nature, it can carry out surveillance without attraction attention, thus limiting voluntary degasing by vessels which have no information about the limits of the area under surveillance. Moreover, the sensors and means of communication provided enable to rapidly notify the authorities, whatever the situation and the problems encountered (the details provided in real-time by the day/night videos enable the taking of rapid measures and immediate intervention with the most suitable means).

9 LE BUT -NPI NPI - PURPOSE The concept of depollution vessel allows for: A. Rapid intervention in the event of degasing at sea or in deep sea; B. Assistance to cruising or commercial boats to facilitate the collection of muds and other waste; C. The cleaning of a water body by the collection of hydrocarbons as well as any floating objects often present in ports; D. Intervention in rivers during the discharge of oil products

10 NPI - USE As part of our personal commitment, we wanted the maritime unit to be as polyvalent as possible. Indeed, the fight against pollution is not limited to the collection of floating waste only. In this concept, the depollution vessel can accommodate muds and other waste generated by boats which cannot berth due to constraints. This approach obviously limits the discharge and degasing of these various products at sea. The polyvalent intervention vessel is able to: - Conduct surveillance of the water body thanks to its radar specially designed to locate hydrocarbon layers - Provide assistance as an offshore support vessel, to commercial or tourism boats, for the discharge of their polluted products - Intervene to collect any floating object dangerous or not for navigation - Carry out sea supply transport in the rate of 30t of goods - Limit and eliminate, in the rate of 120 to 150 m3/h by aspiration, any floating oil product layer even in deep sea - Carry out the transportation and installation of floating dams

13 PRESENTATION NPI (SUITE) NPI - PRESENTATION (CONTINUED) The vessel is constructed according to French regulations. Its layouts have been approved by a classification company (Bureau Veritas). SNC vessel with tonnage below 500 tons and sailing in Category 1. Intended for pollution surveillance missions, it offers all the equipment required for the recovery of any floating pollution and hydrocarbon layers. It is equipped to spend several days at sea with a crew of 8 individuals. Its body is adapted to the conditions prevailing at sea until force 8 and to behaviour changes according to the tasks being accomplished

16 NPI - DESCRIPTION & OPERATION The depollution vessels travels to its workplace at a speed of approximately 13 knots; in the area, it deploys its removable arms to increase its working surface (addition 6 m, i.e. 50,000 m2 of surface deployed per hour) and opens the front lock chamber. Then, it starts the aspiration of the hydrocarbon layer at a speed of 5 kt

17 NPI - DESCRIPTION & OPERATION ( CONTINUED) The liquid flows through a tunnel located in the body. The flow generated by the propeller of an hydraulic engine is canalised towards the back of the vessel and separates the hydrocarbons from water through a venturi effect. The clear water part returns to its natural environment, the polluted water part goes to a separator where the hydrocarbons are stored in a floating state without any emulsion. Clear water in the separator is join the 1 st flow through a venturi effect located at the bottom of the tank. Remaining hydrocarbons are transferred by transfer pumps to a vessel or to recovery containers. In order to facilitate the installation of the recovery container, a rolling device is place on top of the freeboard at the back of the vessel. The boat is equipped with a towing system and can therefore accommodate secondary tanks in order to increase its working capacity. It is also equipped with handling cranes as well as a fire gun, thus increasing the vessel, polyvalence. Once recovered, the hydrocarbons are retreated on land by Mobile depollution Units.

18 NPI - CONCLUSION - NPI The polyvalent depollution vessel is a multi-service unit able to carry out various independent tasks. The polyvalence is not limited to depollution but also enables to provide assistance for various maritime disasters. Its transportation capacity also enables the vessel to carry out sea supplies or passenger transportation. It is consequently an unquestionable tool for maritime environment preservation and compliance.
