From decorative mouldings such as skirting and architrave, to functional window components and flooring, all of our timber products are suitable for both new-build and refurbishment and are environmentally certified. 5 QUALITY & RANGE Our extensive range of softwood and primed MDF mouldings includes popular classics such as Ogee, Torus and Chamfered. We also stock a wealth of somewhat more nostalgic designs including Belgravia, Victorian and Ovolo. See page 10 for details. Our softwood is available in a range of grades. Please ask for details. MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY Utilising the very latest manufacturing technologies, the machined mouldings range is made using only premium graded softwood and MDF. State-of-the-art technology enables Metsä Wood to produce precisionfinished softwood mouldings, whilst maintaining the highest levels of both quality and consistency. Our MDF mouldings are machine sanded twice before being painted with two coats of quality white primer, dried and de-nibbed, resulting in a fully-coated, smooth surface ready for painting. Our continuing investment in technology enables us to manufacture products to meet large volume demands, whilst consistently maintaining high levels of quality and finish. All Metsä Wood sites have PEFC and FSC Chain of Custody, which ensures that sustainable forestry is practised by our forest owners, and guarantees Chain of Custody throughout the supply chain. LOGISTICS Metsä Wood operates a strategic network of manufacturing facilities, warehouses and distribution centres and sales offices throughout the country. All raw material comes directly in from overseas, where we have warehousing facilities. This in turn ensures the product is ready for despatch and distributed throughout the country as efficiently as possible.
