2 Company Profile In 1961 Alucon was established by Mr. H W Schneider and a small group of Thai investors, to produce aluminium collapsible tubes. Alucon s factories are situated in Samutprakarn (near Bangkok) and Sriracha, 110 km east of Bangkok. The Samutprakarn factory has an area of 13,472 square meters and produces collapsible tubes. The Sriracha factory has an area of 376,400 square meters and produces aluminium slugs, monobloc aerosol cans, felt pen bodies, rigid wall containers, and collapsible tubes Alucon was established Alucon started the first aluminium collapsible tube production in Thailand Exports were started The factory was expanded. Two aluminium monobloc aerosol can production lines were installed and aluminium aerosol can production started Alucon s aluminium slug factory and a new monobloc aerosol can factory were established in Sriracha. Alucon became a publicly listed company with 24 million baht capital investment and its shares traded on the Stock Exchange of Thailand Alucon entered into a joint venture with Takeuchi Press Industries Co., Ltd of Japan. Slug factory was expanded with capacity of 10,000 tons per year ISO9002: 1994 certified Aluminium tube factory with clean room facilities was established in Sriracha ISO9001: 2000 certified The tube plant in Sriracha was GMP certified by BVQI Slug production capacity increased to 24,000 tons per year High-end new aerosol line for bigger diameter cans, was installed and equipped with an ironing machine, Frattini s double necker(56stations) and a post washer. ISO 9001:2008 certified 2011 Aerosol can factory building (No.8) completed with full GMP facilities th aerosol line (200cpm) in Alucon started production in May. FSSC : 2011 certified for manufacturing of aerosol cans, Building No. 7 and No th aluminium tube line(180tpm) started production in March, which has seven colors printing machine, print inspection facility, and auto packing machine. 19 th aerosol can line(200cpm) with nine colors printing machine started production in October. Alucon now has 35 complete production lines in operation; Tube line 16 lines, Aerosol can line 17 lines and Felt pen line 2 lines Our capacity is 1.2 billion tubes and cans, and over 48,000 tons of slug per year. ALUCON exports about three quarters of its entire production to customer in more than 32 countries around the world. It has been the company s policy to produce its packaging container at a highest possible quality meeting requirements of the most discerning multinational producers of cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and consumer products.
