5 Custom Radiator Guidelines o Dimensions must be given for radiator height, width, thickness, and core size o If no dimensions are given for the inlet, outlet, drain bung, transcoolers they will be located as noted below Inlet 1 down and centered in the tank Outlet 1 up and centered in the tank Drain bung as low as possible and centered in the tank LS radiators should include a steam vent located below inlet Transcooler centered in the tank (min tank width/height 2.00 ) Oil cooler min tank size 2.50 wide x 3.25 thick o The tank shape should be specified whether straight, round, angled, or a radius. If it is not specified the angle will be 3 and the radius will be o If tanks are 2-1/4 wide or narrower, then use long lip filler neck 80154B o The over-flow on the filler neck will be pointed towards the engine unless noted otherwise. o Gambler fill necks will follow the radius of the top tank. If the tank is not a radius it will be placed square to the top of the tank unless specified otherwise. o All baffles will be centered in the tank unless otherwise specified o All brackets and mounting tabs need to be fully dimensioned o All fan shrouds should be boxed or 3/4 tapered. Double shrouds will be boxed, not tapered if the fans overhang the shroud. No overhang allowed on single fan shrouds. All fan pig tails will be placed pointing towards the lower corner of the shroud unless noted otherwise. o Max dual fan overhang is 1.75 per fan o Single fan should not be taller or wider than actual radiator o 16 Fan 80177X Height width single width dual Min. header to header core width 28 if cross flow o 14 Fan 80179X Height width single width dual Min. header to header core width if cross flow o 12 Fan 80180X Height width single width dual Min. header to header core width if cross flow o 10 Fan A X Height width single width dual Min. header to header core width if cross flow

6 o Fin cover Material that runs between the tanks of the radiator. This is standard on all radiators except for dirt track radiators. o Gambler filler neck This filler neck is used on a lot of street rod style radiators. It is used to move the filler neck away from the radiator. o Header This is the structure of the radiator core where the tanks are welded on. The distance between the tanks is commonly referred to as the header to header distance. o Fan over hang This is how far the fan extends past the edge of the core.
