Bridgestone/Firestone Co. has issued a recall notice for the following types of tires: Firestone Brand FR 380 P235/75 R15 tires LeMans Champion SE P235/75 R15 tires According to Bridgestone/Firestone, these tires fail to meet the company s internal standards. Specifically, the subject tires were produced with insufficient tread base gauge and continued use of these tires may lead to vibration and groove cracking. These tires will be replaced for consumers free of charge. This campaign will expire on March 31, 2009, so it is important to act as soon as possible. Any questions regarding whether certain tires are covered by this recall should be directed to any independent Firestone tire dealer or Firestone store.
