1 NATURAL GAS / LP REMOTE KIT & REMOTE DETERGENT KIT INSTALLATION AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Read instructions carefully before attempting to assemble, install, operate or service this kit in association with your pressure washer. Failure to comply with instructions could result in personal injury and/or property damage! THIS INSERT APPLIES TO THE FOLLOWING KITS: SERIES REMOTE KIT Pump/Burner SERIES REMOTE KIT Detergent REMOTE CONTROL BOX ASSEMBLY This manual contains information on a variety of available options. Not all of these options will apply to this machine. Please refer to the machine manual for general operating/maintenance instructions, warnings and parts list not shown here. WARNING CAUTION Always turn machine OFF when not in use. Never leave machine unattended. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

3 WARNING Read and observe to prevent severe personal injury or property damage. Check hoses, fittings and trigger gun connections daily for signs of wear, cracks and looseness, and replace as required. Keep all electrical components on machine dry. Do not point wand or trigger gun at yourself or at any person. Bodily injury may result from water under high pressure. Wear eye, hand, foot and skin protection while operating equipment. Avoid contact with non-insulated areas of pressure washer to prevent the possibility of severe burns. Do not allow machine to run unattended. Do not run machine indoors or in enclosed areas where flammable vapors (gasoline, solvents, etc.) may be present, without adequate ventilation. Do not store flammable liquids (gasoline, diesel fuel, solvents, etc.) near pressure washer or in non-ventilated areas. Use extreme caution when moving machine over rough or uneven surfaces. For permanent installation consult local building codes for installation requirements. Licensed contractor may be required. Disconnect power supply prior to performing any maintenance. Troubleshoot machine prior to using reset buttons. See Troubleshooting Guide. Pressure washers produce a kickback. To prevent personal injuries due to falls use auxiliary safety equipment. Do not block or tie trigger of gunjet in open position. When applying detergents follow the safety rules on the detergent label. Cleaning area should be provided with adequate slopes and drainage. This will reduce the possibility of a fall due to slippery surface. Unauthorized machine modification or use of non-approved replacement parts may cause personal injury and/or property damage and will void the manufacturer warranty. This machine has been provided with Warning and Instruction decals for the safety of the operator. If these decals are removed or become damaged they should be replaced. Contact your dealer for replacement decals. Never expose a spark or flame where there may be unburned gas present. Use detergent from a covered D.O.T. approved container. 6 SERIES REMOTE KIT ASSEMBLY Unpacking Unpack carefully. Wear safety glasses or goggles while unpacking, assembling, or operating pressure washer in conjunction with this kit. Check for any missing components or hidden damage, immediately contact the distributor or the delivering carrier concerning discrepancies. Installation Single Station Remote 1. Turn OFF power to equipment. Use proper Lockout/ Tag out procedures to ensure that power will not be energized during installation. 2. Remove front and rear door panels from machine and set aside. 3. Mount the Remote Box in a suitable location. 4. Connect the Remote Box to the machine using the 20' wiring harness furnished with the kit (see figures 1 & 2). 5. Remove jumper plug located under Electrical Control Box and discard. 6. Plug harness into both the nine and three pin connectors under Electrical Box (see figure 2). 7. Run harness to Remote Box. 8. Replace front and rear panels. 9. 7 Unpacking REMOTE DETERGENT KIT ASSEMBLY Unpack carefully. Wear safety glasses or goggles while unpacking, assembling, or operating parts washer in conjunction with this kit. Check for any missing components or hidden damage, immediately contact the distributor or the delivering carrier concerning discrepancies. Parts Included , Rocker Switch w/light , Valve, 1/4" NP, 24V NC , Relay, 24V , Screw, #8 x 1/2" Phillips , Hose Barb, 1/4" Barb x 1/4" MPT , Screw, #8 x 1/2" Phillips, Zinc Tek , Terminal, Jumper Spade , Hose Clamp SOLENOID VALVE INSTALLATION 1. Turn OFF main power to equipment. Use proper Lockout/Tag out procedures to ensure that power will not be energized during installation. 2. Remove front and side door panel on the pump side of machine and set aside. 3. Cut the braided hose 3" below the detergent valve. 4. Using the two hose clamps (item 5, page 5) on both ends of the hose, install the electronic solenoid valve assembly. Be careful to orient the valve with the "IN" facing the metering valve and the "OUT" facing the pump for correct operation. 5. 9 REMOTE CONTROL BOX Figure 5 - Schematic Diagram For Single Remote Station ( ) with Electronic Detergent ( ) Installation for Electronic Detergent Switch, Single Remote Station. 1. Follow the steps for single remote station and electronic detergent valve installation. 2. Remove the plastic plug located on the Remote Box cover and install detergent rocker switch (item 1, page 5). 3. Install the new 24V relay (item 2, page 5) in the Remote Box using the two self tapping screws. Remote/Remote Detergent Kits Form # Rev. 10/13 4. Install the jumper spade on the terminal block as shown in the wiring diagram (page 9). 5. Run two extra wires from the Remote Box to the junction box located at the rear of machine. 6. Wire the relay according to figure Replace Remote Box cover. 8. Replace side panel door on machine. 9. Restore power to machine. Page 9

10 Primary Remote Box Figure 6 - Wiring Layout for Multiple Remotes Multiple Station Remote When installing the multiple stations remote, some additional steps will be required. These steps are as follows: 1. Perform steps 1 through 7 as describe in Installation for Single Station Remote. Page Install additional strain relief ( , not provided) on primary remote box. Additional remotes can be installed in series (see figure 6). 3. Mount additional Remote Boxes in the desired location. Connect the Remote Boxes using one of the following methods: Multi Conductor wire ( per ft.) with watertight strain reliefs. Single Conductors (18 GA minimum) in conduit with watertight fittings. A combination of the two methods listed above. It is essential that sealing be provided at the remote boxes to prevent the entrance of unwanted moisture. 4. Connect the wires As shown in the following wire diagrams pages 11, 12, Replace front and side panel covers. 6. Restore power to machine. Page 10 Remote/Remote Detergent Kits Form # Rev. 10/13
