Open the hood and remove the covers from the outer 0mm hex nuts, then remove the 0mm hex nuts retaining the factory grille to the hood and remove the grille.. Place the grille onto a clean work area for emblem removal. A IMPORTANT INFORMATION:. Once the emblem is removed from the grille, clean off all factory double faced tape from the back of the emblem.. Use a plastic body putty spreader to remove the factory grille emblem by pushing it between the emblem and the grille, seperating the double faced tape.

2 6. Install a #8-3 hex nut onto the left and right mounting studs and run it half way down the studs as shown.. Enlarge the factory mounting holes in the hood to 3/8. Align the grille onto the hood, it may be necessary to slightly bend the mounting studs. Once aligned, install the small black plastic washers and #8-3 ESNA half nuts but do not completely tighten before following. A B

4 5 6. Apply masking tape to the lower grille opening to protect the paint during the alignment and hole drilling procedures. Tape up and paint the return edge of the bumper cover where the bottom of the grille meets the bumper cover.. Paint the lower section of the radiator / condenser and the return edge of the bumper cover with flat or semigloss black paint. Apply black paint to the lower grille s bottom mounting tabs to conceal them once the grille is installed. 9,. Align the lower grille into place and drill through the lower mounting tabs with a /6 drill bit, then remove the grille.. Remove any masking tape that will get caught between the grille and the bumper cover.. Re-align the lower grille and install the supplied # 8 x / screws through the existing lower mounting tabs and allow them to tap into the bumper cover until snug.. Use a /6 drill bit to drill through the upper retaining brackets and bumper cover. Early designs have the tabs to the inside of the grille (as shown), later versions have the mounting tabs to the outside for easier screw installation.. Install the lower grille using the supplied # 8 x / self tapping screws and allow them to tap into the bumper cover until snug... Once the protective liner is peeled off the stainless steel grille sections, E&G recommends wiping the excess glue residue with a mild solvent on a soft cloth to loosen the remaining glue. Once the glue is removed, use glass cleaner or alcohol and a solf cloth to remove the solvent residue.
