TOOLS REQUIRED Toyota Tundra Mesh Grille Upper Insert - Fits ALL model Tundras with chrome or painted factory grille surround Black Mesh Part # U-14HB / Chrome Mesh Part # U-14H Automotive grade masking tape, electric drill, 1/8 drill bit, razor blade or X-Acto knife, flat blade and #2 phillips screwdriver, 10mm & 9mm sockets and ratchet, glass cleaner and soft, clean cloths. 01/22/2015 Notes to the Technician/Installer: E&G is proud to present this package to you and reminds you that for technical in for ma tion, contact technical assistance at Do not at tempt the in stal la tion of any E&G prod uct without first reading the detailed in struc tions. E&G Clas sics will not war rant dam aged parts or the ve hi cle due to altered in stal la tion procedures Open the hood and remove the factory 10mm bolts across the top of the grille. 2. Remove the factory push pins at the left and right sides of the grille Apply masking tape to the chrome plated section of the factory grille and the factory emblem to protect the finish. 4. Pull the grille straight out to release the bottom clips.

2 Lay the grille face down on a clean, padded work area. Remove the factory phillips screws around the perimeter of the grille and unclip the chrome poriton of the grille from the insert. Only the chrome portion of the factory grille and the emblem will be reused. 6. Install the supplied upper mounting brackets onto the top corners of the factory chrome section (right side shown) using the factory screws Remove the six (6) 10mm hex nuts located across the bottom of the grille opening. 8. Install the lower outer mounting brackets over the factory studs and reinstall the hex nuts. Installl the supplied #8 x 1/2 black truss head screws through the tabs in the lower mounting brackets. You can drill a 1/8 pilot hole if necessary Install the lower center mounting bracket (as shown) over the factory studs and reinstall the hex nuts. Installl the supplied #8 x 1/2 black truss head screws through the tabs in the mounting bracket (not shown). You can drill a 1/8 pilot hole if necessary. 10. For vehicles painted colors other than black or dark blue: Apply masking tape to the upper edge of the radiator support panel (where shown) prior to black paint application.

3 Apply flat or semi-gloss black paint to the upper edge of the radiator support panel and to everything not already painted black that will be visible through the mesh grille. 12. Allow the paint to cure. The factory grille surround can now be reinstalled. IMPORTANT: The upper mounting tabs installed in Step 6 must line up under the factory mounting tabs before you snap the grille back into place (see next photo) Install the supplied U-nut onto the upper outer brackets attached to the factory surround, align the U-nut under the factory upper mounting tabs and install the supplied x 5/8 Hex SEM bolts (as shown). 14. Remove the emblem using a flat blade screwdriver to press in on the retaining clips. Once the clips release, push the emblem out from the back of the factory grille insert Install the supplied.045 x.250 double faced tape to the back outer edge of the factory emblem. 16. Peel off the double faced tape backing and install the factory emblem onto the E&G emblem mounting plate. Once the emblem is installed, break off any factory alignment and attaching pins.

4 Install the emblem onto the mesh section, making sure it is perfectly centered and level. Install the supplied large black plastic washers, #10 lock nuts and #8-32 S.S. hex nuts and tighten until the emblem assembly is snug. You can trim the washers so that they do not protrude beyond the edge of the emblem plate. 18. Align the assembled mesh grille over the mounting brackets installed previously. Reinstall the factory screws removed in Step 1 but do not overtighten as you will damage the insert Install the supplied black nylon washers and ESNA nuts onto the studs protruding from the bottom mounting plate. Adjust the grille depth then tighten the mounting hardware. 20. Use a pice of cardboard to block the mesh grille while painting the lock nuts black. Finished installation.
