Minifold blocks have tapped inlet connections at both ends, connect to one and plug the other, or connect minifolds in series. Their compact construction makes them ideal for use in panels and confined spaces. Series 940 Use a thermoplastic valve spindle in a brass body and are available in ways or ways with a mm nominal bore. Outlet connections are ready to use, push in your tube and tighten up the nut. Series 90 Use the same output valves as the Series 940 but give twice as many outputs for a given length of minifold block. They are available in ways or 20 ways with a 2mm nominal bore. Outlet connections are ready to use, push in your tube and tighten up the nut. Series 9 Have /4 tapped outlet connections for your preferred pipe fittings. They are available in ways or ways with a mm nominal bore. Also available with 6mm push-in connections. Series 9 A larger version of the Series 9 these have 3/ tapped outlet connections for your preferred pipe fittings. They are available in ways or ways with a 2mm nominal bore. Materials: Minifold blocks are manufactured in HE30 aluminium, anodised to BS6: 9 marine grade. Series 940 and 90 valve bodies are brass. Minifold valve spindles are thermoplastic and coloured red for blocks with BSP threads, or grey for blocks with NPT threads. The spindles are fitted with nitrile seals. Operating Pressure / Temperature: Vacuum to Bar / -2 C to 90 C. Process Media: Air or any clean gas, vapour or liquid which is compatible with the materials of construction Manifolds & Minifolds Series 940 & 90 tube nuts: These minifolds can be piped with metal, nylon or plastic tube. For metal or nylon tube use valve outlet codes or. The tube nut is supplied with a conventional olive, the ends of which compress into the tube wall. For soft wall plastic or nylon tube use valve outlet codes 6 or. The tube nut is fitted with a synthetic rubber seal, which compresses into the tube wall. 7 Series 900 Minifolds Stainless Steel Ball-Valve Distribution Manifolds Designed to complement our established ranges of aluminium and stainless steel distribution manifolds HNL now manufacture the Series 9 stainless steel ball valveminifold offering the following features/ benefits:- COMPACT AND COST EFFECTIVE Compared to the alternative of creating a distribution manifold using tube and fittings the Series 9 Minifold provides a tidier and more compact arrangement, there are fewer connections reducing the likelihood ofleaking and it is more cost effective. Manifolds & Minifolds BALL VALVES The use of ball valves have a number of advantages when compared to the screw type valves used on other Minifolds. Opening and closing of the valve is rapid with just a quarter turn of the handle and the position of the handle readily indicates if the valve is open or closed. In addition ball valves can be supplied with automatic backventing and locking facilities. 4, 6 OR OUTLETS Standard Series 9 Minifolds are available with either 4, 6 or ball valves on a manifold block having tapped inlet connections at both ends. Typically one inlet is used for the supply and the other is plugged. Alternatively the 4, 6 or way units can be connected in series using a barrelnipple if more outlets are required (i.e., 2, 20 etc.). CORROSION RESISTANT Both the Minifold block, valve body and ball are manufactured in 36 stainless steel making them suitablefor use with a wide range of process media and for use in environments where aluminium Minifolds are unsuitable. COMPREHENSIVE RANGE The Series 9 Minifold is available with /2 & 3/4 BSP.T or NPT inputs and /4 & /2 BSP.T or NPT outputs. A wide range of accessories includes barrel-nipples, plugs, isolation and drain valves, back-venting valves and locking valves. MINIFOLD is a registered trademark of HNL. Locking Valves: A locking facility allows the valve to be secured in either the fully open or fully closed positions with a padlock. This safety feature prevents system failure or accidents that may result from the operation of a valve that must be kept open or closed. Flow Considerations: To minimise both output pressure drop and the possibility of output starvation, it is recommended that the the inlet thread to the block is larger than the thread on the output valves. i.e. for /4 valve outlets use either the /2 or 3/4 inlets (preferred), for /2 valve outlets use a 3/4 inlet. Minifolds can be connected in series to provide more ways but it is essential that the largest possible inlet connections are used and if high flow is required, consider providing a supply from both ends of the Minifold.

CORROSION RESISTANT CONSTRUCTION The valve body is machined from a high quality lost wax casting with the provision of a mirror finished drilled ball which rotates between the seals. Both the valve body and ball are manufactured in 36 stainless steel making them suitable for use with a wide range of process media and in a wide range of environments. BALL VALVES The use of ball valves have a number of advantages when compared to the screw type valves: Opening and closing of the valve is rapid with just a quarter turn of the handle and the position of the handle readily indicates if the valve is open or closed. In addition ball valves can be supplied with automatic backventing or locking facilities. The colour of the sleeve on the handle indicates the type of thread on the valve, red for BSPT and black for NPT. COMPREHENSIVE RANGE The Series 930 Ball Valves are available with /4,/2, 3/4 & BSP.T and NPT threads. Both male-female (reduced bore) and female-female (full bore) versions are available as shown opposite.
