3 Folding door systems Information Folding doors combining the advantages of classical revolving doors with the practical functioning and elegance of sliding doors. They offer free access to the cabinet or wardrobe interior and do not restrict room space even when open. Freely movable door packages can be moved as desired and permit full access over the entire cabinet or wardrobe width Door pairs can be coupled so that one movement of the hand will open or close the cabinet front. Folding doors are used wherever space-saving solutions together with individual accents are desired. How to choose correct folding door fitting system? Step 1 Basic parameters Example How wide and how high is the cabinet? Width 2700mm, height 2100mm incl. 100mm plinth How many door pairs are to be mounted? 3 door pairs=6 door leafs Approximate door leaf size? Width 450mm (2700:6) Height 2000mm ( ) Material? Door thickness? Chipboard, veneered on both sides, 22mm Weight per door pair? 270 N per door pair Step 2 General questions Example Recommendation Fixed on one side or freely movable? If the option of coupling door leaf with automatic folding function is to be retained, FT 1 would have to be selected.
